IBM 07N8169 IBM 7200 RPM 40 GB Hard Drive

Summary: Very reliable hard drive with very good tech support
Review: This hard drive is simply put "Very Good." I am an Information Systems Manager at a Large Medical Group in Calif and have been using Western Digital due to company standards. When I was granted the responsibility for buying tech items, I decided to try the Deskstar lineup and they live up to the name IBM. I personally use a IBM Deskstar 10 Gig in my home computer and did not encounter any problems, crashes, or failures. I also have a Deskstar in my wife's computer and 2 Deskstar in my children's computer. Be cautious about what people say, just because you have a crash doesn't mean its the hard drive's fault. It can be the users fault for hardware crashes (ie programs and Drivers). Only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the fact that the Deskstar lineup have a weak hard drive casing. Which means you have to becareful when installing the hard drive into the case. Other than that I think IBM Deskstar is one of the best.
