Using advanced areal density technology, this drive option can double the data storage capacity of the Netfinity FAStT EXP500 storage unit. It also features a seek time of 5.5 milliseconds. The 10,000 RPM Fibre Channel option features high-performance, hot-swap disk drives designed for disk-intensive Fibre Channel applications such as databases, file servers, data mining, and business intelligence. The drive contains the Predictive Failure Analysis feature that, when combined with Netfinity Manager or Netfinity Director, can alert you of impending drive failures so replacements can be made before a problem occurs. The drive is premounted on a hot-swap tray for simplified installation and improved reliability. It has been rigorously tested for compatibility and reliability with supported Netfinity Fibre Channel products through the ServerProven program. This extensive testing helps ensure the drive will perform with consistency and reliability in your demanding enterprise server environment.
