Rating: Summary: SimpleTech 40GB SimpleDrive Deluxe high-speed USB2.0/FireWir Review: Being under 1 inch thick and weighing under a pound this portable simple drive can be used under the most rugged conditions. I store hundreds of hours of sick beats on my digital Mp3 player. I sometimes let my brother use it to store hours of Pipeline surf on his digital video camera. We both give the Simpletech 40gb 2.0 Firewire Drive thumbs up.

Rating: Summary: Easy to Use and Compact Package Review: I bought this for my portable computer (I have a Belkin fireWire Note book adapter X-P OS)and the computer recognized it immediatly, installed it and assigned a drive to to it. It has worked flawlessly since then. Who could ask for more. It comes in a convient travel pack and has all the cables. Completely meet my expectations.

Rating: Summary: Simple to install & use Review: I use this drive as a backup drive for my Apple iBook. The FireWire connection is plenty fast for storing MP3s and iMovie projects. The drive mounts without any additional software under OS 10.2.5 (and any version of OS X).The drive also comes with a USB 2.0 connection and cable, making it plug & play compatible with my Windows XP box in the office. Unfortunately, you need to use the included AC power adapter for USB 2.0, because the bus isn't powered like FireWire. But that problem is the fault of the folks who created USB 2.0, not SimpleTech's. This drive is small enough to fit by itself in your coat pocket and comes with a hansome leatherette carrying case, which holds the drive, AC adapter, FireWire cable and USB 2.0 cable. Many portable drives like this one cost much more money, making this drive a bargain.
