Summary: Another Unreliable Unsupported Product
Review: As others have commented, worked great for 6 months, then became unrecognizable by XP. Wouldn't work with ME on other machine. Files not recoverable. Guess will try another brand. USB drives handy, but keep a backup on hard drive or other disk somewhere else since with this model its just a gamble and a matter of time before you lose your data.

Summary: Clean Memory!
Review: I accidently put this memory through the
washer and dryer, but it kept on working!

Summary: Not worth it
Review: I bought this a little while ago, and it was working OK. However, the casing felt somewhat flimsy. About after a month of use, it would not work on any of my computers unless I constantly reformatted the drive. A SanDisk Cruzer or Sony Micro Vault would be a much better choice.

Summary: Fast, cheap and portable!
Review: I picked up a PNY pen drive (128M) a few weeks ago to carry around some important documents that I needed to work on at home and at work. I was worried about a suspect hard drive on one of those machines, and this seemed like a good solution.

I couldn't be happier with this product. It's blazing fast, files transfer very reliably, and it's worked in every computer I've plugged it into (a total of 5), despite having at least three different OS's on those computers. It's light enough that I don't even notice it in my pocket, and it comes with a lanyard you can use to carry it if you like.

If you haven't tried one of these, I think you're missing out. I love mine, and recommend it highly. It's advertised to work with any Microsoft OS, Win98 and up, and I've used it on 98, 2000 and XP. It's not supposed to work with NT, in case you're running that. It's rated for USB2, but it works on my PC with USB1.1, as well. They're cheap; get one today. You won't regret it.

Summary: Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin
Review: I think everyone knows that these drives have become invaluable. Mine has become a necessitiy between my computers at work and at home and any where I can get an open computer. I have W2K at home with USB 1 and XP Pro at work with USB 2. Never had any type of compatibility issue. This 128 MB size is the minimum most can get by with in my opinion. I plan on upgrading to at least the 256 soon.

The amazing this is that I have just removed my USB drive from a clean pair of pants that went through the wash and dry cycle. And this was the second time. I can't believe it still works.

Maybe I'll have to start using that ridiculus cord and wear it around my neck.

Through away your zip and floppy disks and get one of these things. Just make sure you back it up often.

Summary: It died
Review: I used the PMY 128 meg USB memory stick for maybe 6 months and it died a quick and unexpected death, taking valuable files with it. I got the message "this drive is not formatted." And then I got the message "this drive is protected." or some such thing. I am out of of info and memory chip.

Summary: Attache and Windows 98
Review: Remember that famous quote from Bill Gates? It's nice to know you can be wrong on occasion and still end up the richest man in the world. In any case, at roughly 200x his original prediction, these little devices are certain to replace floppy disks as the new method of portable storage.

This was an impulse purchase at a retail outlet, but even on sale Amazon beat the price. I'm not familiar enough with these things to compare one brand with the next, but I can tell you what I did and didn't like about this particular product.

The good:
Detection was painless using Windows XP. Just plug it in, wait a minute for it to install itself and voila! Instantly you have a new 128MB drive on your computer.

Transfer rates are nice and quick, especially if you have USB 2.0, but even USB 1.1 is fine.

The plastic case is sturdy enough to protect it from normal damage such as an accidental scrape or dropping it on the floor. Sit on it, though, and it's toast.

The bad:
It's a little large to be considered portable in my opinion. They designed it as if it would be something you would carry on your keychain. Too bulky for that, plus the hole on the cap is too small to fit on the majority of keyrings. Finally, I understand the reason for keeping the cap on the keyring so you can easily remove the device, but the cap doesn't hold it securely enough for me to feel safe carrying it this way.

Reliability is suspect according to the other reviewers here. I would have kept this item if it weren't for the bad reviews, but will probably return it in favor of something more portable.
