Summary: Great External Drive - Quiet and EASY setup With XP
Review: I have the Titanium, USB 2.0 version of this drive - not firewire version.

In less than 10 minutes this drive was unpacked from the box, plugged in, installed and I was dragging and dropping files. It took less than 10 minutes to transfer over 6 GB of MP3 songs and a 1 GB of .jpg pictures with a USB 2.0 connection on a Pentium 4, 2.8Mz computer. Windows XP-Service Pack 2 just AUTOMATICALLY recognized, and installed the right driver for this drive - I didn't even use the USB driver cd that came with the product. It just automatically showed up in Windows Explorer as a F: drive and I just simply dragged and dropped from there. VERY EASY.

Also this drive is WHISPER quiet. And it has an on/off switch so you don't have to unplug ANYTHING to turn it off. Just click on the green icon to safely remove hardware, then just turn the switch to off. Very EASY.

The only con is it needs external AD/DC power, which makes it a bit bulky to haul around and hot swap with my work computer and my husband's work computer and my parents' computer. But it can easily be done cause the drive is very lightweight. Actully, I think it may work on just USB bus power, but I haven't tried it yet.

I will update my review if I discover problems, but so far this is by far a great DEAL. Less money, lightweight, easy easy installation, but less space. I do not intend to use this as a bootable backup drive. Just as a precaution in case our computer crashes for any reason, I won't have to rescan pictures and recopy CD of songs. 80 GB was by far enough for this use. That's why I didn't want to spend much money.
