Summary: Good drive for the money
Review: Decent drive, plug and play in Windows 2000 with no additional drivers needed. It does what is intended (read DVDs and burn CDs), but it isn't particularly speedy, and the software is adequate. Basically a low cost bare-bones solution that is somewhat better than entry level.

Summary: easy to install, great drive
Review: this being the first time I ever had DVD on my computer. This drive blew me away. Installed it in less than 15 min. and the computer recognized it instantly. The DVD playback with the Power DVD software included was superb. The CDR/RW writer was really fast and meshed seamlessly with my other software. This drive is a real bargain.
