Rating: Summary: Great Stuff Review: After installation, it worked first time(!), the BIOS and Win98 detected it with no problem, and the supplied software configured itself to the drive. The software, Nero, is very intuitive and easy to use, making burning any kind of CD (audio, data, mixed mode, video, etc) quite simple. The online help is great, and it comes with a 127 page manual on the disc. I've burned a number of CDs so far - some straight CD copies (audio only, data only, one mixed audio and data), and also compiled my own music CD. The music CDs work fine in the home audio equipment and car stereos I've tried them in. I'm impressed by the speed and flexibility of the drive and the software, and you can't beat the price. All in all, a great deal. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Honest Review: Good Value. I looked for hours online and the closest i came to a price like this was $150 AFTER a rebate. I've already burned 6 CD's, and i've only had one problem and i suspect it was the CD-R and the CD Burner. Good price.
Rating: Summary: What a great deal! Review: I bought this CDRW for christmass and have made more than a dozen audio CDs. All work fine. The software it came with is the best. I downloaded the update from their website and can now burn MP3s directly into an audio CD. Just what I wanted for christmass
Rating: Summary: VERY GOOD FOR THE MONEY Review: I have been all over the Internet searching for cheap CD-RW'Z, but have come accross none which have and outstanding price with no lack in preformance. I have made 10 CD'Z had a problem with 1 but that is outstanding.
Rating: Summary: Total Crap Review: I just bought this thing and made 1 data cd and 2 music cd's. The rom gave me an error on the 3rd cd i made and i had to reboot my computer. Ever since I hooked up the CD-Rw it's taking windows 98 five times as long to boot. It just sits there with the splash screen for about 5 minutes while the plug and play tries to detect it. The two music CD's I made don't even play in my portable CD player but I'm not sure if it's the actual CD-r or the burner... I'm probably going to take this CD-Rw back and get a hewlett packard for 30 $ more.
Rating: Summary: Great, but for the jitters Review: I made a data CD first, no problem. But when I tried to make an audio CD, it came out extremely staticky. I think I figured out a workaround (when saving tracks to the hard drive, enable the "jitter correction" box...and then write the cd at 1X) But the help files are written in poor english, are contradictory, and confusing. But aside from all that, it's worked great.

Rating: Summary: It worked! Review: I must say, when I bought this CD Burner, I never really thought I could make my own CD's. Well, I did! The first time worked wonderfully and I have yet to have a problem! I swapped this CD ROM out for my original and it works the same so if you are looking for an "all in one" cd rom, this is it!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Burner Review: I've burnt about 15 Audio CDS and 5 Data cds and they all have been flawless! The Nero burning software is easy to use and works great and the Auto-Decoding of Mp3's is saves a lot of time. The best value around!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Burner Review: The burner is very fast and very cheap. Still havent had a problem with it. Great for burning audio CDS. Excellent sound quality. No complaints here. Price is outstanding. Go to your local computer store and see if you can get a better price for a 4X drive. This price is probably the best ive found for a CD-R.
