Summary: Good drive - with great customer support
Review: I just got this drive and have had no problems with it. A typical HP product in my view. HP has a proven track record of great customer service. I have read about other *good* drives and products, but if something goes wrong you are left with no support from the manufacturer. I recommend this product and the company as well.

Summary: Great Product
Review: I was in the market for a CD-RW but couldn't afford a Plextor
at the time. I came upon a deal for this CD-RW drive ($170 CDN + free webcam) and decided to try it out.

Now, a friend of mine has owned an HP for years and it always
suffered from problems - but most 4X burners did. I admit that I was nervous about purchasing an HP CD-RW.

Anyway, this burner is great. It will burn a full 700MB CD-R
(with verification) in ~7min (Athlon 1Ghz/256MB). The drive
uses Burn-Proof and I have not made a single coaster yet, and burning does not incapacitate the machine. The bundled s/w (HP RecordNow) is perfect for general burning needs. It has an explorer like interface so you just drag and drop your files and name your disc. With the s/w you can burn data/music discs or copy another disc. For more complex burning needs, the drive is fully supported in CloneCD and Fireburner.

All in all, i'm *very* satisfied with this drive and have *no*
complaints (aside from the colour... its grey, not that computer
white/beige we've all come to love). Its fast and stable... what more can you ask for.

Summary: A must-have for all computer users
Review: This HP re-writer is stable enough and provides more than necessary writing speed for the average user. Very cost-effective and efficient in its work, the HP CD 12ri rewriter does nothing else but obey your commands.
This particular rewriter has a really sleek look to it, which makes it an attractive and worthy buy for anyone. No more buzzing noises, the HP CD 12ri is very quiet too!!

If it is quality, speed and dependability you want, get yourself one of these right away.

Summary: Great product from HP
Review: This is a good burner, fast, with buffer underrun prevention technology, with the tipical HP "swoop" design, there are only two minus for this unit, first It doesn't have an audio cable, and second, the unit is so new, that a few burner programs (Nero, Click'n Burn, CD Mate) support it, CDRwin, WinOnCd and others, do not support the unit yet.
