Summary: A workhorse
Review: I have burned literally hundreds of discs on this drive and never once had a problem in the 2 years I've owned it. The first one right out of the box had some sort of buffering problem, but it was replaced and the replacement has since given me absolutely no trouble. I Dont think it's even put out one coaster. One thing I have noticed though, is that I dont think it truly burns at 52X. Burning a CD at 32X and 52X takes about the same time. But at 2 minutes I'm not really complaining.

BTW, Buslink is just a re-branded LITE-ON drive...so if you can find the LITE-ON cheaper you may as well get it, as its the same drive. All the firmware updates have come from LITE-ON's website.

Summary: Good CD drive
Review: This drive is pretty good. I've burned a heck a lot of CDs that I love to listen to. It doesn't just burn CDs, it also plays them too. I like this drive, and it's nice to have two CD drive as well. But don't get confused, it doesn't read software or games, just music.

I've had it for 2 years and the burning process is failing more often. Sometimes I hear this click-click-click noises sometimes while burning CDs, but it's only been happening on two brands of CD-Rs (Sony and Imatation), but I personally use Memorex and Maxell and they burn and play just fine in the Buslink drive (usually). Anyway, I surely recommend this Buslink drive because it's lasted already more than two years (got it Decmember of 2002), and the burn is very fast with 52x speed and 24x speed for re-writes.

Summary: Needed replaced within 6 months
Review: When I built my computer, I purchased a slightly earlier version of this drive (48X) and a DVD drive from BUSlink. Both proved to be horrible purchases. There is very little problem installing the drive (as normal) and it worked great in the begining, but after 6 months the CD-RW drive completely refused to burn anything and started making grinding noises when trying to burn. Then the DVD drive started failing a month after that. I recommend drives from Samsung, they seem to last much longer from other computers I built.
