Rating: Summary: La Cie CD Writer Review: I like this drive and it functions well every time. The only problem I have is sometimes the eject button doesn't function manually (could be my system) but as long as your software has a controller function you'll be ok. The quality and speed are as advertised.

Rating: Summary: Does work with iTunes 4.2 on XP Review: I was a little concerned because a previous review said this device did not work with iTunes 4.01. Since it has been a while and a couple releases of iTunes since that review, I contacted LaCie support. They responded overnight and said it does work with iTunes, so I ordered. Happily, it did indeed work. Rather easily, I might add. Just plugged it in, started iTunes, and burned a cd.

Rating: Summary: Flawless Review: In maybe 5 minutes it was out of the box and the first burn complete. Works just fine with iTunes 4.2...true plug and play...highly recommended...
Rating: Summary: A Workhorse You Can Always Depend On Review: LaCie has hit a towering home run with its line of plug and play d2 FireWire CD-RW drives. While not as sporty as some drives on the market, the d2 is a fleet and tireless workhorse with priceless cross-platform compatibility, and that's what counts. Documentation is plainly written, installation is a breeze and usage is an unqualified pleasure. The d2 comes with simple to use recording software (Easy CD Creator for PC, Toast Lite for Mac) that makes burning CDs an almost brainless operation involving dragging desired files into the program window, selecting a few options and letting the d2 do its magic. (Mac users wanting to push the envelope can upgrade to the scarily powerful Toast Titanium.) As a small business owner on Mac platform, the ability to share data with my PC colleagues via hybrid format CDs is a godsend. And as a music lover, I'm amazed and overjoyed to be able to burn audio CDs in a veritable trice. The solid performance of the d2 is a testament to the Mac-savviness for which LaCie has long been hailed. In all likelihood, the drive will perform just as flawlessly for PC users. The d2 has increased my business productivity a hundred-fold, and I regard it as my most essential peripheral.
Rating: Summary: How sweet it is! Review: My wife purchased the LaCie d2 CD-RW as a Christmas present for me to use with my iBook. With about only two minutes of set-up time, I was burning cds with iTunes. No problems whatsoever. Highly recommend.
Rating: Summary: Flawless and FAST, FAST, FAST!!!!!!! Review: Perfect and absolutely seamless with Mac OSX Panther. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Rating: Summary: Disaster Review: The product did not work on installation and the accompanying Roxio software product would not install properly, would not uninstall and corrupted Windows 2000 system files, requiring me to rebuild entire system. Considering I bought this product for the peace of mind of data backup, this has been a nightmare. Oh, and support is lousy for both the hardward and the accompanying Roxio CD.
Rating: Summary: super fast and rugged Review: This is a great burner. It worked on my mac without any special anything...plug and burn! I can't believe how fast it burns a CD full of data or music. It is a bit of a brick, so it isn't built for much travel, but it is powerful, fast, and is going to last.
