Rating: Summary: I love it! Cheap, fast, and great software package! Review: I purchased this item with the rebate which brought it down to [$]. Given that I spent over $200 on my old 4x HP 2 1/2 years ago, my expectations just weren't that high. I guess that whole name-brand bias is still in me.However, just looking at it, I can see that the tray is sturdier and more reliable than my old HP (whose tray got kinda lopsided after a year and a half). Also, it's a much better value that buying the high-end top of the line product. My friend got a Plextor 16x w/ burnproof for around [$] and I have a burner that's just as reliable (w/ the same burnproof technology) with the only difference is that it takes me 2 minutes longer to burn a cd and mine costs [$] less. I also get a powerful, top-of-the-line cd-burning software while she is stuck with her piece of crap plextor manager. I haven't used it too many times...but I love it already! Burned maybe around 10-15 cds...no coasters yet. I just LOOOOVE the Nero software it came with...it's the best out there and much, much better than Adaptec/Roxie Easy CD Creator, which I've used all this time (Platinum sucks by the way, never use it)! Since it comes with the burner you can download the latest version worth [$] for free, so it's as if I got my great CD burner for [$]!!! WHATTA GREAT BUY!!!

Rating: Summary: Good Choice Review: I shopped around a good bit and was ready to purchase a well known name brand (a bit cheaper)until I came across this one and it seemed better. I bought this for my 14 year old son and within thiry minutes he had it installed. Minutes after loading the software he was making his own CDs. We had zero problems. This is our first CD burner and we are very pleased.
Rating: Summary: Easy, Fast, Cheap Review: I was a bit reluctant to buy a brand I wasn't familiar with, but this was a smart purchase. I generally don't like dealing with hardware issues, but installing this was fairly simple. The instructions also showed how to set this drive as the master and any existing CD-ROM's to slaves. I'm pleased with the performance. My old 2X burner took about 40 minutes to burn a 74min CD-R, this one takes about 6 minutes. Re-recordable CD's burn at 2X or 4X. I also heard unpleasant things about the Nero burning software that's included with this drive, but I actually liked it better than Adapdec's Easy CD Creator. The interface wasn't quite as nice, but the software is smart and it also shows you both the read and write buffers so you can keep an eye on things. Last of all, it was [cheap]!

Rating: Summary: Fast, Reliable, and Inexpensive Review: Installation: Fairly easy and painless. It recommends to install this drive as the primary, but I put it in as a secondary and it works fine. Reliability: Out of the handful of 700MB CDs I've created, no coasters yet with their so call "burnproof" technology. The nero software is pretty easy to use and it lets you burn mp3's straight up without converting them to any other format. Speed: Takes about 7 minutes to burn a full 700MB CD (80 minutes of music), and I can surf the web or multitask at the same time without worrying making coasters. Price: I bought this when they had the rebate going, but even without the special rebate, this drive is 20-50% cheaper than the other name brand ones. Bottom line: Get it. Why spend more money when you can get a fast, reliable, and inexpensive CDRW drive like the Cendyne 12X.
Rating: Summary: Works like a charm Review: It makes flawless recordings -- do not try to record music at 12X since there might be a few skips (at 8X recordings are perfect). During installation, ensure that the drive is PRIMARY on your IDE bus (by following instructions) and installation will be easy as pie!
Rating: Summary: THE COOLEST CD-RW OUT THERE Review: Lack there of a bettter word--Perfect-- This writer is fast, easy, and cheap. It was one of the most simple things to install. I am only 13, I had it installed in like 15 minutes. I have never made a coaster. and the nero five burning-rom is great. GET THIS CD-RW
Rating: Summary: This burner ROCKS! Review: Seriously, if you are thinking of buying this burner...do it! The price was amazing and the burner itself is even better! I had it up in running in no time. I've burned 9 CDs and no coasters so far. It's fast [~7min], reliable and I was even surfing the net while burning...with no problems. The software that came with it [Nero] is easy to use and reliable. What surprised me is that the software will convert MP3's into CD audio files automatically. It caught me by surprise, really. This burner is worth every penny...and I think my friends are sick of me bragging about it.
Rating: Summary: Want a CDRW drive? Buy it now! Review: The CenDyne 12x10x32 Internal EIDE CDRW Drive is absolutely perfect for average users like myself. I would have to say that the major advantage of the product is the quality of CD's it produces both when I write and rewrite them. Identical to the kind you would buy from the music industries. Just as importantly, this is the FIRST burner I have seen that has created perfect CD's regardless of the brand I buy. I used to avoid the generic brands of CD's because my old burner would produce CD's that were obviously of a lesser quality when I listened to them. Not the case here. I cannot distinguish between Maxell, Verbatim, Sony, Memorex, TDK, Imation, and the generic brands. Thus, if you are planning on writing a lot of CD's you can save yourself some money buy purchasing cheaper discs. It runs so smoothly and effortlessly. I really like the feature of the x10 rewrite speed because it is very unusual for a burner to have this quality and yet be so [inexensive]. You can have yourself an amazing music library in a couple of hours work of the CenDyne 12x10x32 Internal EIDE CDRW Drive. My major complaint is that it is unable, at least on my system, to write CD's that are larger than 650 KB. This is disappointing with the advent of CD's that can hold more memory - this system is incompatible with them. In conclusion, though, if you are looking for an all-around solid burner that is truly reliable (I've had mine for 4.5 months and have had no problems), I strongly recommend that you look into the CenDyne 12x10x32 Internal EIDE CDRW Drive. I don't regret my purchase in the least.
