Review: A brief review of Micro Solution's Backpack CD-Rewriter (Model 192100). I bought the Backpack in early 2001 and it has been working flawlessly since. Easy to install, it works with either your computer's parallel or USB ports. Software includes Adaptec Easy CD Creator and Direct CD. A great alternative to external drives, the only flaws are its weight and need to be plugged to an outlet. You won't be using the Backpack with your laptop in a car or airplane. However, the Backpack is perfectly suited for transporting between desktop computers. Its speed (4x4x24x) is fast enough for most users (average burning time for an audio CD is 20 minutes). I found the Backpack to be a wholly worthwhile purchase.
