Summary: Easy to Install a child could do it! HP 9350i
Review: Easy, fast and a fun item. For the installation all you need is a screw driver. The only hard part was taking off the computer case and putting it back on! I have 'burned' several cd's in just minutes.

The instructions are easy to follow step by step with pictures and multi-language. The software is a bit lacking IMHO and the instructions 'manual' is at HP's web site.

Tech support: I called asking one question, and they answered on the 2ed ring, with a LIVE person!!

I also own an HP printer which is great.

Summary: Very Happy So Far!!!
Review: I bought this CD-RW drive for my teens for Christmas (and myself too!) and have been very happy so far. I even installed it myself in about an hour. And it only took that long because I took my time, read all the instructions, had to find a screwdriver, and all that kind of stuff. The hardest part about it was unscrewing those little bitty screws and getting them back in (the ones that hold the drive in place inside the tower thingie). But I did it myself and it was a breeze. When I got finished with that and turned the computer back on, it installed itself automatically.

I've had no known problems with the quality of the cd's and have written no bad ones. No, the sound quality is not that of a brand new store bought cd, but then, should I expect it to be that good when it's an MP3 file downloaded off of who knows how many people's computer files (i.e., sharing mp3's)? I mean, you never know at what point the sound quality deteriorates when you're downloading something from the internet. But my kids and I and have been very happy with the results of the cd's we've burned from our cd-rw drive.

Summary: Simple interaction
Review: I chose this as a good fit for my needs. I did not need it to be super fast as I don't expect to do burn all the time.

Install of internal hardware is straight forward.

The software makes moving files as easy as it is between the hard drive and a floppy.

Pleased with purchase.

Summary: HP Rules
Review: I have an HP printer, HP Scanner, and this HP CDRW. None of the HP products has disappointed me. This CDWR comes with a big installation guide. So setting it up should be just a breeze. Also, recording a whole audio cd takes no more than 10 mins. A must for all music lover. Reason for 4 stars out of 5, the price is a little high. But if you want new high tech toys, you got to pay the price!!!

Summary: Excellent Product
Review: I installed the product in about 20 minutes. The hardest part was taking the cover off of the computer. The CD-writer works great. I burned my first CD in about 15 minutes. Easy for even beginners to use. The CD-labeler which comes with it is great. Makes very professional looking labels that go on absolutely perfectly. I would definitely recommend this product to all music lovers.

Summary: Great Starter
Review: I installed Windows XP Upgrade (from 98) a few weeks ago. Then I bought my first CD-RW. After a 256 upgrade, I've got 320MB of Ram. plenty with room to spare. My first CD was an audio CD for my daughter. ripped a few CDs onto the PC and put them on a CD-R. I never thought it would be that easy. hardest part was picking the songs I wanted on the disk! and for under $50, you can't go wrong.

Summary: Excellent product
Review: I just installed the drive easily and with to problems. Very easy to use and did not run into any problems after making 10 CD's so far. Software that comes with this drive is great too. HP MY CD software needs updating though. You can go to HP website to download the new version.

All in all, very happy.

Summary: Can you find something cheaper?
Review: I just saw this deal because a friend asked about it and I can't believe it's selling for this price. I looked at some price comparison sites and couldn't find one cheaper for even an 8X's CD-R. I own another HP writer that records at 4X's and it hasn't let me down once. Similar to what another reviewer said, the "test and write" feature is nice so you don't lose CDs.

Summary: Big Company but not support
Review: I own a Hewlett Packard CD-WRITER PLUS 8100, its been pretty reliable so far until I try upgrading my operating system from Windows 98 to Windows Me then I fund out that the Co use a second party software from Adapted and they will not support any upgrades, so if you are in the market for one now it will work great but you will not any support in the future (could be 2 month from now). I thing you be better off buying a ship one and upgrading your software when you need it. Hewlett Packard will not support your produt at all.
