Review: this drive 24/10/40, fastest out there as far as i know, been using it for 4 weeks now and it's performing very well. only thing i might have done different are the instructoins that come with it, otherwise, it's 5 stars all the way.

Review: this is a good product i can burn many things with this driver and it doesn't messup at all because of the buffer underrun protection. i don't have to worry about the burn to come out bad. also the burner software was also easy to use. if you are planing to get this driver, enjoy.

Summary: Drive OK - software unacceptable - returning it
Review: This is certainly an ok drive, but I need to point out two things to the potential buyer:First, the software is not up to snuff. Granted, it's very easy to operate, and if you just want to burn a (music) cd, you'll be done fast. But that's already all you can do. There is no (obvious ?) way to add a session with just files that have changed. The GUI looks fancy, but cannot be resized. It crashes on long file names. I couldn't print a perfect label with many tries (granted, on A4 paper), and it doesn't even transfer the file/track names to the label editor (yeah, it says it does, but all I saw transferred was the number of tracks, and the total play time. Duh.). It doesn't even prompt you to save the changes you made. My 3 year-old OEM WinOnCD was *much* more functional ! I think this software is acceptable if you want to offer the drive to your grandparents, but for your own use, you would probably have to factor in a copy of Nero5.5 for ~$50. Also, the drive is a little on the loud side. Even if you only use USB1.1, it'll spin up the CDs you insert to high speed first. With that behavior it's not alone, though.

Review: This is the worst product Iomega has ever released and they in fact have dis-continued it because it is so terrible. The entire housing is cheap plastic, the USB 2.0 integrity is marginal at best and the entire unit is entirely unreliable. This is a very bad product.

Summary: Great Product
Review: Very solid performance, works real quick. Important to note that its a 4x4x6 drive under USB 1.1. Works great under XP, although it looks like its not quite rugged enough: the cover looks like it can easily break off. Overall its a great drive, well recommended.
