Pacific Digital U-30116 Internal DVD-R/RAM CD-RW Drive

Summary: Not sure about product--tech support is non-existent
Review: I have returned this drive to amazon as defective. It would not recognize dvd-ram disks as being in the drive even though I was using brand new name brand disks. I tried it in 2 windows 98 computers and a windows 2000 computer with the same results on each. When I contacted Pacific Digitals technical support the answer I received was try a different disk. No suggestions as how to test the install or the drive were offered.

Review: This is a great product for the price! It's a sure deal! It works right out of the box with very little set-up. I think it took about 5 to 10 min to set the drive up, including software.

The only thing that I don't like about this drive is that it will not burn CD-R disks, only DVD disks. It does, however, read any CD disk.

All in all, great if you do not need to burn CD-R's.

Review: Was easy to set up right out of the box. Had no conflicts with the hardware or software. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable DVD burner. Use it to make 4-9GB data disk or make perfect copies of DVD that you own.
