Rating: Summary: Not Consistent Review: I previously purchased (3)25-disc spindles of this media. It provided flawless back-ups using LITEON 411S & NERO 6 @4X. I bought this 50-disc spindle and my success rate has dropped to around 50%. They freeze in my player. Some of the discs are stuck together on the spindle, which is strange. I guess I need try to return the remaining 25 discs for a refund, if it's worth it. I don't like returning stuff.I will not buy these again.

Rating: Summary: COASTERS! Review: I purchased this item and was excited to get them, but burning my first DVDs.. they're all coasters! ARG.. pass Memorex and go for a more expensive media, like Verbatim.
Rating: Summary: CMC disks are crap Review: I would avoid these discs. I have been using these discs for some time doing backups. Recently, I've had a few problems and decided to look at these further. I noticed another review that said that the discs are made by multiple companies under the Memorex brand as are others like TDK, etc.. I used to DVD info and noticed that my most recent purchase is made by CMC and I'm having problems with some of the discs including burn errors. One disk has strange ring in the die. I have the NEC 1300a burner. I also having some trouble playing backups on the same drive on my computer. Less trouble playing on my Sony DVD player. Just based on this (not a clear indication of what you're getting when you purchase), I would go with something else. These discs are not cheap enough for this reason.
Rating: Summary: writes flawlessly at 8x with Plextor 708A Review: I'm usually leery of CMC media but I was pleasantly surprised. How do I know it's a flawless write? I created a CRC for each file before write and compared it to the CRC I created for each file on the written CD. The files were identical. I've done this dozens of times and am satisfied with the quality of the 8x burn. HOWEVER .... (my) Xbox doesn't like Memorex DVD+R at any speed. With mememorex it will only read DVD-R media. It reads other DVD+R media without issue. 4 stars because this is a lower spec media. "Is it real quality or is it memorex" google: CDCheck
Rating: Summary: Verification errors not just due to disc quality Review: I've been using Memorex DVD+Rs for a couple of years now. The only time I get disc verification errors, as some people have experienced, was when I first started using DVDs as a backup medium. I found that it was only when I tried to pack the disc full (without leaving much space left) that I experienced these errors. The amount of space seemed to correspond with the number of files that were being burned and not with the actual amount of data (possibly due to the amount of space needed to record the file directory, I'm assuming, based only on my empirical observations). Since then, I've consistently left about 250-300Mb free on each disc that I burn, and I've had essentially zero problems ever since. Hope that helps.
Rating: Summary: Ignore CMC crap! Review: I've done quite a bit of research on DVD media and i must tell you their is a lot of negative information about memorex dvd-r's. I have used over 350 blank DVD-R's and about 500 Cd-rs and my success rate is 99%. I had one coaster because i decided to buy a optorite DVD burner which was a big mistake. I'm currently using NEC dual layer burner and i couldn't be happier with these Memorex DVD's. I constantly am backing up movies..and i test them in everything from a PS2 to a DVD player and they always work fine.... In conclusion memorex blank media is worth the investment and I highly recommend them..I'm also am familar with nocoasters.com and I believe they are extremely off on some of their recommendations for DVD-r Media. AFter successfully completing almost a 1000 burns I think I broke the "just lucky" barrier.
Rating: Summary: WARNING Review: If you could fortunately buy RICOHJPN ID ones, it is the best. But if you unfortunately got CMC MAG-F01-00 labels, you will also got many bad coasters. Good luck. You can search DVDidentifier to check what your DVD IDs are. DON'T BE FOOLED. Check beore you buy!! RICOHJPN THE BEST!!
Rating: Summary: Buy the 25 pack for CHEAPER!!! Review: If you go to the link above for the dvd+r memorex 25 pack spindle, they only cost $29. Therefore, if you buy two 25 packs, you'll get 50 dvd+r disks for about $60 while you'll have to pay $69 for the actual 50 pack. (Also, both are applicable for the supersaver shipping). Hope that helps some people. Good Luck with your burnin'
Rating: Summary: Listen Carefully Review: Ok this is pretty general..IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH COASTERS ITS PROBABLY YOUR SOFTWARE!!! I'm really sick of ppl thinkin that it has something to do with the fact that its a 50 pk or a 100 pk or printable surfaces. At first when I sarted makin back up dvds it hardly ever worked but guess what I FOUND NEW AND BETTER SOFTWARE. Trust me it makes the world of difference do research find a software that almost never fails. These memorex dvds are absolutley great I usually have 1 out of 50 fail. So stop bashing memorex or blamming the surfaces of the Dvd or the colors you just sound dumb. And you obviously don't know what your doing.
