Summary: BAD
Review: 4 out of 10 works. JUST LEAVE IT. NOT EVEN WORTH OF A SINGLE STAR

Summary: Couldn't burn 1 right
Review: I don't know if it was the content or the software I used, but I went through 5 of these disks and could not get 1 to work.

I made 4 attempts at backing up some Data (4.2 Gig) and 1 at making a DVD of some home Video Clips. All failed.

As a comparison I tried the Memorex DVD+R for the same projects and they worked perfectly on the first try. I have a Sony DRU 500a burner and I used Roxio Easy CD 5 (updated). For the DVD movie I used Sonic My DVD.

Summary: No problems with NEC burners!
Review: I have a NEC ND-2500 8X burner and a NG-3500 16X Dual Layer burner and these 4X Khypemedia DVD-R's have given me no problems. I have played these disks in cheap Apex, Mintek, Panasonic, Toshiba and Zenith DVD players with no glitches. These are good, dirt cheap reliable media for everyday use.

I do a lot of movie DVD backing up with DVDShrink and these are perfect for that. These discs are also great for archiving CD-R's using Nero. I reciently copied 7 1/2 CD-R's of Mp3s to a DVD-R - when I was done I had over 1700 songs on ONE DISK!

To the people having problems I greatly suggest going to your DVD burner's website then downloading and installing the latest firmware update. It will save you a lot of headaches and coasters.

Summary: Reliable if used carefully
Review: I have gone through two boxes of these disks with good results. Using the Sony 500A burner and either Roxio CD DVD burning software (V6) or DVD X Copy Express I have had no bad disks and excellent results. The one caution I would have is that I have the impression that these disks may be more prone to scratches and blemishes than with other brands but sofar the end results have been good and I am buying more.

Summary: Great Product at Great Price
Review: I have purchased 6 packages of these to make DVDs of home movies for my parents, kids, nieces, and nephews. I have a Pioneer DVD recorder and can only use DVD-RAM and DVD-R and these are by far the best price on the market and I've had no problems using them with my DVD recorder and the DVDs come out looking great, plus the dual jewel cases are wonderful and great space savers. For the money I'd say these can't be beat!!

Summary: Don't blame the media for your incompetence!
Review: I haven't had a problem using KHypermedia's DVD-R or DVD+R discs. I've been using a Lite-On LDW-411 with most recent firmware and Windows XP and these discs play fine in my very cheap AMW dvd player. I wasn't expecting much from the discs because of the reviews I've read and the fact that I got 4 10-packs for free (after rebates) from OfficeMax. They're not lightning fast but you can backup a full DVD in about 30-40 minutes with CloneCD (half the time for ripping the original DVD, half the time for burning), and if they work I really don't care about saving a few minutes on burning time.
I had one problem with a DVD-R disc, but I attribute it to another application which stalled my computer.
Make sure you know what you're doing before you blame the media. In my total burning experience with DVDs and CDs, I've had probably 2 coasters out of hundreds. And those were not necessarily even a problem with the media. I've never had compatibility problems, but maybe I'm just one lucky SOB. If you're using a burner with many known problems, then you might want to reconsider what the problem is when it won't accept your media. Lite-On has always worked perfectly for me.

Summary: Unreliable
Review: I was using these DVDs to create home movies. Less than 40% of these actually worked. I used studio and a couple of other DVD writing programs.

Summary: Nothing but coasters.
Review: I've used different brands of DVD-R's before and never had problems burning DVD-R's. I have a Pioneer DVR-105 and use Nero Ultra Burning ROM as my CD/DVD burner of choice.

Every single one of the Khypermedia DVD-R discs I used were failures. I'm surprised, because I've had nothing but good luck with Khypermedia's CDR media.

Summary: full of flaws
Review: In a previous review I gave this product 5 stars. After looking at over 20 disks that I burned I find that all contained so many problems in the disk media that they all had to be thrown out. They look good and are priced right but are useless. Please do not purchase! They are worthless
