Review: If you are considering buying this product....don't! The reception is terrible. This portable radio has failed at clear reception in the gym and jogging outdoors when others around me are having no issues. I have chalked up the money spent on this unit as waisted.

Summary: great radio, uncomfortable headphones
Review: Love the radio....great reception, easy to scan for stations, love the 20 presets. But why on Earth did they include such poorly designed headphones? They feel fine when you first put them on, but after a two hour walk, my ears were aching! I'll have to use different headphones, but I'll keep the radio.

Summary: Lousy Unit
Review: My experience with this product has been lousy. Lousy reception in the gym, lousy headphones that broke too easily, lousy armband that, at its largest setting, was still too tight on my arm--leaving its impression for hours afterward. Stay away from this one.

Summary: Finally found one that works!
Review: My wife and I are avid runners and have been looking for a AM/FM radio unit that is small enough to use while running but not so small that you can't easily hold it in your hand. We don't like the strap on types, they never seem to stay in place, it's easier just to hold the unit in your hand so you can change the station and keep the wire to the headphones clear. In addition, I've tried and returned a few of these and this is the only one that actually works. It gets all of my favorite AM and FM stations clear enough to be useful while running. If you are not sure about which unit to buy I would give this one a try, it worked for me.

Summary: Best Sports Arm Band Radio Out There, But Still Not Perfect
Review: Panasonic's Shockwave Arm Band Radio is clearly the best sports-related radio out there, but it's still not perfect. I've previously owned Sony's SRF88 and SRFM78 Sports Walkman Radios, and the Panasonic Shockwave Arm Band Radio is far superior versus either of those two models. Here are my humble suggestions for improving the Panasonic Shockwave Arm Band Radio:1. To put it bluntly, the headphones absolutely suck. Panasonic should check out Bang & Olufsen's Ear Phones and then design something that is more state-of-the-art and comfortable. 2. Sony's arm band is much more user-friendly and easy to adjust than Panasonic's. 3. The volume button is difficult to adjust while on the move. There simply must be a more practical way to design this key feature. 4. The on/off button should be resequenced so that FM comes on first since that's what most people listen to while working out, jogging, etc. In today's world, AM is an after-thought. I hope that Panasonic reads this and makes the unit even smaller and better in its next incarnation. Despite my constructive criticism, it's still great and much better than the competition.

Summary: Good News, Bad News...
Review: Rated as a radio, the FM performance of this unit is quite good. But AM sensitivity is poor on all but the strongest stations. My old Sony Walkman easily bested it on AM. The radio has many presets for stations and is very lightweight. It all depends on whats important to you.

Summary: Does the job admirably
Review: This player works great for everything I use it for: stationary bike, treadmill, and weights. It's smaller than its Sony equivalent and packs a wallop with its Bass boost. The player does gets 4 stars, mostly for the included headphones (extremely uncomfortable on the ears -- I threw mine away and used an older set lying arond the house) and the slightly awkward velcro/elastic strap (just leave the velcro alone and the player should fit your arm just fine). Aside from that, it's a winner.

Review: This product is great! I get great reception, too. I've had it for about 5 months and I'm just now having to buy new batteries. I love this product. I have no cons at all.
