Summary: A Solid Radio, For The Price.
Review: I needed a serviceable little radio that would play my favorite FM and AM stations while I work the graveyard shift. While not traditionally a big fan of GE's products, the string of favorable customer reviews sold me on this unit. After two weeks, I can say I am not disappointed. For the price of a couple hamburgers, the radio manages to pull in the stations I like, at least until I get too close to all the old CRTs and their EM radiation, which is probably strong enough to render any reciever useless. At home, the story is different, will bell-clear reception on both bands and decent sound from the 3" speaker. Keep in mind that this thing is exceedingly simple, consisting of the power supply (AA batteries or built-in transformer--no bulky adaptor,) tuner, speaker, stereo headphone jack, and power/volume dial. That's it. And for a lot of people, that's good enough. Oh, and the case is nearly bulletproof.

Summary: Excellent Radio ...
Review: I purchased this radio so we could enjoy music outside during the summer. Now that it's winter, we've brought it into the kitchen. It's light in weight and gets great reception. It's also a perfect size to take to the park or the beach. If you're looking for great sound & reception mixed with convenience, this is the radio for you.

Summary: Great office assessory
Review: I recently bought this radio so that I would have somethnig to listen to during a long work day. When I got it, I was surprised at how small it was, which for me was good because my desk is oftentimes cluttered and I would have had a hard time placing a large item such as a boom box. Size is also a key factor with regards to reception, which is the only reason why I'm not giving it five stars. Contrary to other reviews, I sometimes have difficulty receiving certain stations, and I often have to move the radio around my desk until I can find a spot where reception is good. The poor reception may be due to the building were I work. Soundwise, the radio is great, providing (when reception is good) great, clear sound, with little static. I particularly like its performance at low volumes, which is a necessity when you have to share office space with others that doesn't share your taste in music. In fact, I like this radio so much that I might buy another one for use at home.

Summary: A GREAT FIND
Review: I work part-time/on-call in a toll booth & had a hard time finding a simple radio that wasn't a piece of crap. This was perfect! It's a GE product, which has always been a plus in my experience. It works very well, getting great reception out on the highway. It's also very lightweight and durable. It's hard to find a simple radio at local stores, so I'm glad Amazon.com still carries these types of items.

Summary: GOOD RADIO
Review: Impressive reception. Pulls WSM-650am out of Nashville very strong at night. Very good selectivity.

Summary: Nice and simple
Review: It's refreshing to know one can still purchase a simple and practical radio. Most radios I have seen in stores were very poor quality and were quite ugly. Also, most radios came with either a CD or cassette player which I don't need. This radio has decent reception and good sound quality. Great for the kitchen/bath or office use.

Summary: Even a blind person can use this
Review: My mother, who is 88 years old and totally blind, can use this radio. The dials are big and easy to use. It's also nearly unbreakable. (she drops it a lot).

Summary: Agree with "An electronics fan from TX United States"
Review: Radio displayed impressive sensitivity for 4 or 5 weeks but after that period only stations with the most powerful signals came in clearly. My Radio Shack version of GE's Superadio pulls in FM stations much better despite its antenna having been snapped off. (No need to replace it)...

Summary: Not bad, but can't lock in on a station!
Review: This is a good little radio for the price, I bought three of 'em from Amazon and put them in various locations in my office.

I bought it because the alarm clock radio I was using couldn't lock into the station I listen to all day, and I was looking for a radio that could. A couple of the reviews here said this one could, so I bought three.

This radio, while it does tune in well to a station when you're tuning it, does what pretty much any radio without PLL tuning will do--it'll tune in well, but when you move it, or move yourself, it drifts. Furthermore, I kept one on my desk, and my various office equipment (printer, monitor, etc.) interfere with the signal.
