Review: What a neat unit! It's about the size of a paperback and comes with two guidebooks, soft case and additional antenna. The sound isn't as good as the Grundig 350 but the Sony pulls in stations more clearly and efficiently--a definite plus since I live in the Southwest, where shortwave reception can be marginal at best. There's also much less drift with the Sony than the Grundig, and we all know how annoying and trying constant drift can be. Although I'm extremely new to the shortwave world I'd have to recommend this particular Sony model over the Grundig 350, despite its inferiority in the sound department. The Sony is a bit more in price(forty bucks or so) but has far better reception, infinitely more features and a portability factor that allows it to fit easily into backpacks or purses. Whether you're new to shortwave or not this radio is definitely worth buying.
