Summary: quality varies if it's made in India
Review: I bought 7 bundle of these CDRs at various times with different prices. I had great time using the first 500 CDRs but the lastest 2 bundle(the cheapest) were made in India and the quality is very poor, it burns ok but you have to take EXTREME care of the disc. For example, if you drop one disc on the ground from your desk that disc will most likely go dead forever. The protective cover on each disc is extremely easy to fall off (drop a pen on them the paint will fall off that means the whole disc is dead)unlike other CDRs which you can hardly damage a disc from the front. Those discs made in India are extremely thin and fraguile I am sure they won't last long because they are TOO easy to break.

Summary: Questionable Quality
Review: I put large video files on them. About 1 in 5 discs fail after
burning sucessfully. That is, when I go to access the file on the disc later, I get a cyclic redundancy error. This occurrs on both of my computers, both of my burners. So... I'm pretty sure it's a problem with these disks -- just being very easily damaged.

Summary: BUYER BEWARE!!!
Review: I wasted my money on a 100-pack of these CD-Rs. Every single disc I tried to burn gave me errors. I tried burning the exact same thing using other brands of CD-Rs (even the cheap no-name brands) and they worked fine, but I couldn't get one Memorex CD-R to burn correctly. I have also talked to others who have had problems specifically with Memorex, and I remember back in the old days when I would copy music to cassette tape, I would always have problems with Memorex cassettes. What is wrong with this company that they cannot make a decent product? My advice is to steer clear of anything that says Memorex!!

Summary: Trouble using them to burn large VCD files
Review: I'm having the same problem that another review indicated, when burning large mpeg's (larger than 659 MB) i'm getting consistent data redundancy check errors.

Summary: Reliable & Cheap Disks
Review: I've been using Memorex CD-Rs for a few years now, and have always found them cheap and reliable. The speed on these is 16x, and about 1/2 of them will burn at that speed. The other half will burn at 12x or slower. This is frustrating at times especially when you own a high-speed burner.

Summary: Questionable Quality
Review: I've burned about 250 of these "black back" CD's over the last
two years for various purposes, both audio and data. Out of all of those, I had five that failed to burn correctly, but four of those were my mistake (forgot to turn off my screen saver and it kicked in during the burn), while only one failed for no apparent reason. For the price, they rock!

Summary: AVOID THE NAME MEMOREX
Review: Memorex is making garbage, I have used their PC CDR's, and their Music CDR's in my audio CD recorders. All garbage, try a generic brand, or TDK, Memorex is trash.

Summary: Good and reliable
Review: Overall, these disks have been reliable and affordable. They work well for backing up my computer as well as for recording music.
