Summary: Try another brand
Review: have rarely had problems recording music or mixed media data on to a disk. However, the 100 pack of Memorex CD-R I bought have made me think twice about ever buying their brand again. I use a Lite ON 40x CD-RW and most of the problems I have had in the past were a result of user error: recording at high speed, using other applications whilst recording data etc. Yet, it seems several CDs in the spindle I bought were corrupt. It took me about 10 CDs and several emails & calls to their customer service dept. to figure out their media was to blame. My firmware was up-to-date and I've never had compatibility problems before. After discussing this issue w/ friends, Memorex appears to have compatibility problems w/ some audio & recording components. The worst part about this problems is that I cannot get my money back either. My advice is to steer clear of Memorex and spend the extra few pounds on a TDK or Maxell CD-R

Summary: Memorex is the standard all right
Review: 5 years ago, I was told that Memorex is one of the OEM makers of these disc therefore they would work the best. The recommendation was correct and I've always bought Memorex because they never resulted in a burnt error. Nor do I ever recall of one. I've never gone wrong with these.

Summary: A Good Burn, But Not Built to Last
Review: As other reviewers have mentioned, these CDs will burn very reliably. Nearly every time that I've attempted to burn a CD, it's worked, and I've burned several hundred with this particular brand.

However, I keep all of my CDs in binders and I've found that even though I take good care of my CDs, after 6 months, many of the CDs will begin to wear down. While the surface of the disc may remain scratch free, placement in a binder seems to flake away tiny spots onto which the disc records, leading both to skipping and poor ripping of that CD.

I suppose if you keep your CDs in jewel cases, this will work for you, but if you keep your CDs in binders, you may want to try Maxell CDs.

Summary: Great product, awesome price.
Review: Can't go wrong for the price of these. Stock up while you can. Well worth the price for the quantity you get. Thanks, Amazon.com Will not find it any cheaper than here. The quality of the CDs is good, too. May find a bad one, but it's like that in all large quantity of blank cds. Well worth it!!

Summary: Great Brand, Great Price, whats not to like!!
Review: Deffinatly worth it, these cd's do their job. There's not too much to say about these, they have lots of memmory (700 MB). You can use them to backup your computer, create music cd's or many other things.

Note: make sure you have a cd burner for your computer before you purchase these, they do not work with just a CD-ROM, you need a CD-RW drive.

Summary: These Are the CD-R's to Buy
Review: First off, I'd like to address all the reviewers who say they've had problems with Memorex CD-R's. I also had problems in the past with Memorex. They would seemingly burn fine, but they wouldn't play even when I put them in my brand new cd player which is designed to play CD-R's, MP3 cd's, and all of that. It would either skip so badly that you couldn't listen to it or else just freeze and not play anything. BUT, those days are over, I believe. I just recieved these new Memorex CD-R's a few days ago, and they've been perfect so far. I tried them in all my cd players and they've all worked beautifully. I had no problem with the burning process either. Memorex has apparently fixed these problems.

So, now that that's out of the way, if you're looking for cheap, quality CD-R's, this is the way to go. There's nothing wrong with them that I could tell. The sound quality is fine (although this depends almost entirely on the quality of the mp3 and not the quality of the CD you burn it to) and the price compared to the amount of cd's you get is the best I've seen (actually it's dropped 3 bucks in the last few days...I should have waited to buy them!).

In the end, it's only 4 stars because of course there are higher quality products out there. If you're looking to buy these, don't let the bad reviews hold you back. Buy them and start burning some great music.

Summary: These suck!!!
Review: I am trying to burn data cd's and have gotten 1 to partially work out of 6. A real waste of money and time. I'm now down to trying 8X speed.

Summary: Dont buy it
Review: I am using the 52x cdr and got this memorex 52x cd-r disc to burn my cd with 52x speed.

But, it only supports up to 40x. I already tested it with nero and easy cd creator. Do not buy this disc. I am really dissapointed.

Summary: don't be fooled
Review: I burn a ton of cd's & usually theese are a good disc, but out of 50 discs I had to discard 19. As a norm most discs made in usa or japan are your best quality, but theese are made in taiwan(not very good quality ).
So by trying to save money on what I thought were good discs I got burned, don't be fooled also.
