Summary: The only kind of CD-R I recommend these days
Review: A long time ago IBM offered a line of CD-Rs called Choice Media. These no longer seem to exist...

I'd bought 3M disks since I started using computers, and continued to buy Imation products once 3M was bought by them. I figured the CD-Rs would be good as well.

The discs have held up well. I've got CD-Rs dating back to 2000 that still work reliably. I have two burners and both are able to burn these without a problem. I've seen so many of my friends lose data to Memorex and other cheap CDs. These aren't as easy to find at stores but are worth the hunt.

Summary: Very reliable
Review: CD-R is a commodity as with any, brand name and written specs help in purchasing decision. However I have used several brands media types of CD-R's. This is the one that original came with my computer and the first pack lasted ready and usable for more than a year. Every one worked and worked reliably. I did have to buy jewel cases for many. Others I just tossed around and they still worked. Maybe others will work as well but I do not want to take any chances when you find one that works well.

Summary: Rubbish CD-R's
Review: I bought these thinking that all CD-R's must be essentially the same... boy, was I wrong... I wish I had read all the other negative reviews posted here prior to purchasing... I've burned a number of music CD's so far using iTunes, and none of them work well on the majority of my CD players... they either skip or don't read at all... PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND!!!

Summary: really, really poor quality
Review: i got these for cheap thinking that all cd-r's were pretty much the same. boy was i wrong. while trying to back up some important information, the burns repeatedly failed when i approached the 700mb capacity of these discs. i then used some memorex cd-r's on the same files and they burned flawlessly. only when i reduced the size of the burn to about 1/2 of the stated capacity did these work. i also tried compiling a music cd with these discs and found the same results - if i filled the discs to their stated capacities, they would fail the burn as it neared finishing. the maxells took care of the same songs no problem. it bears repeating. these cd-r's are junk. look somewhere else unless you're buying these as coasters.

Review: I've used mant different brands of CDR on many different burners. Imations have the highest failure rate by far. Out of 100 discs, usually only about 60% burn clean. Try another brand.

Review: Save your money. Do not buy this product. Out of a pack of 100 discs only a 1/3 worked.
