The Paragon 1200 FS is Mustek's fastest scanner, screaming at 1.5 milliseconds per line. It uses bit depth increased technology (BDIT) to capture 36-bit color images, and then enhances them to 48-bit masterpieces with 280 trillion colors. Plus, the Paragon 1200FS comes with software that further enhances 600 x 1,200 dpi optical images to 9,600 dpi.Scanning color photographs is a breeze. You can scan a 4-by-6-inch photo at 600 x 1,200 dpi in one to two minutes. Another timesaving feature is Direct Scan, which launches the scanner driver software automatically when you lift the flatbed cover. For Photoshop users, or for anyone who needs to export images to editing software, the 1200FS also speaks TWAIN and TWAIN32. The Paragon 1200FS uses ScanSoft TextBridge OCR software for converting scans into editable text.
