Summary: BuddyCam Gives Logitech a Bad Name
Review: Before you purchase a web cam, check the list of compatible web cams each Instant Messenger recommends to use with their software. [...] Instant Messengers ARE NOT created equally. The BuddyCam had poor video quality; I don't care where you sat it or how many adjustments you made or where you placed the lighting, it looked awful. This product is for children who don't know any better and the price should be about $19.99. Installing the software might be easy provided you do a clean boot install (no running applications and to insure that you need to do "msconfig"). [...] I realize now why my online friends always had something negative to say about their web cams and stopped using them. Thank goodness I bought another model for myself that showed me what quality is. My grandson's Buddy system will be exchanged for the Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000.

Summary: Best Webcam for the Price!
Review: I read the reviews on many other webcams, but this one is the best for the price! I have a desktop with an AMD 750 Mhz Athlon processor, 256MB RAM, and a cable connection, and this product really was simple to set up. In fact, with my Norton Internet Security 2005 firewall, there were no port conflicts or error messages. I only had to authorize Norton to allocate the port to the Logitech Webcam... that simple! With my slower processor, I thought that the video would be slower (15 fps) but after loading the start up software from the CD ROM, I connected the webcam to an open USB port, my XP Professional recognized the camera device, and I was on my way to verify the settings for the microphone volume and audio quality. The Logitech Webcam icon is loaded to your desktop, and all you have to do to start up the camera is to double click the icon, wait for the Logitech popup window, click on the QuickSnap link, and the camera opens a live video window for you to view, film, or capture a snapshot! I have already sent a video clip Christmas greeting to my brother in law in Afghanistan, and to my brother in Texas. CAUTION: Once you load this webcam and mail the other to a buddy, you will not want to stop playing with this tech toy!!

Review: This twin-camera is real value for money. If you are purchasing these cameras for web-chatting, it is just good. The picture quality is good and it has got an in-built mic!
You will never regret for the price you pay!
