Summary: Flexstand is my hero!
Review: After fighting with the current stand on my Quickcam pro 3000 and the hours of frustration caused by it moving, wobbling or generally looking the other way I decided it was time to look for a new stand or tripod. As I currently own a TFT flat panel monitor I had already resigned to the fact that I wasn't going to be able to mount the camera on top of it - but hang on , whats this I found on the web?, Flexstand - looks interesting I thought so I ordered one.
Now I have this bendy contraption attached to my desk behind the TFT monitor and it peeks over the top with the camera firmly attached and I'm wondering how on earth I managed without it, its so simple but brilliantly effective - If you have a webcam and a TFT monitor or very little desk space or just cant get the camera at the right angle then the Flexstand is the answer to your prayers.
The flexstand trully is my hero!

Review: After trying forever to get my webcam in a good position I could not do it, that is until I got my Flexstand. This product is very well built and they have thought of just about every type of camera someone could use on it.You will not be complete until you have one of your own.

Summary: A great accessory
Review: Am an avid webcam user and now of the FlexStand. It has solved loads of problems for me. My cam now stays where I put it, the wire is out of the way and I can easily swing the cam away when I'm not using it. Although there are some quirks, following the included instructions gets you over them quickly. I highly recommend the FlexStand for all webcam users. I dont know what took so long for a product like this to be made. Check out the picture I uploaded to "Customer Images"

Review: I bought a FlexStand last year, and am glad that I did so - because it allows me to get angles that were not available with the wimpy stand that came with my webcam. I have one of those faces that looks good from some angles, and not so good from others. I also like the way that I can now push the webcam away and not be paranoid about being "on" when I don't want to be. I broke the flat bit where the cam attaches, but I contacted strange solutions (because I wasn't going to be stuck w/ something that doesn't work), and their customer service person was nice and helpful and understanding and they mailed me a replacement one the same day that I called. I'm a girl, but I replaced it lickity split, and I was camming again. So - I'd say that my overall happyness with this product has been very high, and it has gotten me to use my cam a lot more than I used to.

Review: I cannot recommend this camera stand. True, it allows arbitrary positioning of the cam. However, the flex arm is very awkward to adjust - much too rigid. Adjustments have to be done with two hands and require considerable effort. The arm just loosely slides into the base, so upon bending it one will inevitably lift the whole assembly out of the base. Worse, the camera platform cannot be adjusted at all. It it annoyingly difficult to get level. No fine adjustments are possible. Both the platform and the stand, the two parts likely to be subject to stress, are made of cheap plastic - guaranteed not to last. Finally, the cable clips are a joke - weak flimsy plastic parts that slip and slide every which way at any arm movement. The only possible use for this product is to position the camera once at a single fixed angle. Unlike a good tripod, real-time adjustments are not possible. I get better results just placing the camera with its original stand on a stack of books. Again, I cannot recommend this product.

Summary: It even stands up to teenagers! Amazing!
Review: I have had the FlexStand for several months now and it's absolutely great! Between myself and my two teenage sons we have put the stand through it's paces with constant adjustments and movement. We could never get the cam to stay in position with the base that came with our cam but now we can all use it however and where ever we want with ease. Thanks alot Strange Solutions! You've saved us alot of arguments over who moved the cam!

Summary: Wow, what a great solution to my camera troubles!
Review: I recently purchased a new LCD monitor and Quick Cam Pro 4000. The monitor and camera worked great with the exception of the camera angle. The camera could not be mounted on top of the monitor because there was not a place for it to sit. Therefore the camera had to rest on the desk which gave a camera angle from low to high. The problem with this camera angle is that you may appear to have a double chin (even if you don't) and you may also have a great view of your ceiling. This product was a great solution because now the camera can rest at many angles and is adjusted easily for that perfect picture. Thanks!

Summary: WILL NOT USE WEB CAM WITHOUT IT AGAIN
Review: I RECENTLY RECIEVED THE FLEX STAND AS A PRESENT. WHEN I FIRST SAW IT I THOUGHT THIS THINGS WEIRD. BUT I HOOKED IT UP WHICH ONLY TOOK A COUPLE OF MINUTES. AND I LOVE IT. MY WEB CAM STAY'S PUT NO MORE SLIDING OFF THE COMPUTER. I CAN BEND THE STAND SO IT CAN SEE EVERYTHING AND ONE IN THE ROOM. THE BEST PART WAS WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PUT MY DAUGHTERS TOY TOGETHER THAT WAS SENT TO HER AND BECAUSE OF THE FLEX STAND I WAS ABLE TO SHOW MY BROTHER WHAT PART I WAS TALKING ABOUT AS I WAS ASSEMBLING IT & HE WAS ABLE TO TELL ME WHERE I WAS SUPPOSED TO CONNECT THE DIFFERENT PARTS. SO IT SAVED ME ALOT OF TIME AND AGRAVATION. THANK YOU STRANGE SOULITIONS. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS TO EVERY BODY I KNOW. I DEFENITLY ENJOY USING MY WEB CAM MORE NOW THAT I HAVE THE FLEX STAND. IT HAS GIVEN ME THE FLEXIBILITY I WANTED.

Summary: could not cam without it
Review: i use this product however, one week after receiving it the plastic part which the webcam sits on broke in half and i had to use heavy duty glue to repair it. If you move the cam around much, eventually the part which attaches to the edge of the desk will come loose and the entire assembly will fall over. I am not being rough with the product either, it is just not particularly stable. I hope they will improve on some of these design problems since it is a good idea! After it broke, i should have returned it for another one, but was just too much trouble to do so.
