Summary: NOT water resistant, didn't last very long.
Review: At first I had it hanging under the shower head where it would occasionally get a splash. On the 3rd or 4th shower water got into it and it quit working. I put it in the bedroom for a couple of weeks to dry out and it worked again. Then I put it on the window sill in the shower where it would rarely get water on it but it didn't last long there either. I let it dry out again and put it on a self over the sink in the bathroom where it would never get wet but apparently the steam condensed inside it because there was water in it again (I could see tiny little drops on the inside of the display). After that I threw it a way. Needless to say I was very disappointed in a Shower Radio I couldn't even keep in the bathroom let a lone the shower itself.

Summary: Perfect
Review: Exactly what I was looking for in a shower radio. The ease and convenience of digital tuning from Sony. Gets all the stations I want without any static and I'm able to switch at the push of a button. I've had mine over a year and only had to replace the batteries once so far. I only have one very minor complaint. The tv stations don't seem to come through nearly as loud as the radio stations, so they require the volume to be turned way up. Even with that minor flaw, I love it.

second, this is a great radio! it's just what i needed for the bathroom - helps me get to work on time, the radio works the best!! and i should know - we live in a very rural area and every other radio i tried got little to no signal - get LOTS of stations on this little radio - and has tons of functions also...hubby loves the weather feature too!
do not hesitate - get this item!

Summary: Perfect little radio for the bathroom
Review: For what it is, this is a great radio for the bathroom, especially when getting ready for work in the morning. Digital clock and tuning, you can tune into your favorite radio station and keep an eye on the time as well so you don't miss the bus to work! The TV band and weather band features are an added plus. It is a solid little radio for the price--not flimsy at all. If you must listen to CD's in the bathroom, then this is not the radio for you, but if you can live without that feature, then I highly recommend this Sony radio.

Review: Having tried almost ever shower radio on the market -- I was close to giving up until I saw this one. Granted it costs more than the "average" shower radios -- but there is reason. It works! You also save tons of money on batteries as it just doesn't eat them like the others. My husband and I both use this in the a.m. and we each have different radio stations we like. We have not had trouble pre-setting the channels or switching back and forth between them. Seems like the more negative reviews of this product are due to placement of the radio. Keep it out of direct waterfalls; maybe get a small shower shelf to place it where you can easily see and use the controls? Lastly, the timer-off button is my favorite. I set it for 20 mins; giving me time to shower and finish up in the bathroom in the a.m. before heading to work. You don't have to worry about getting back in the wet shower area to turn it off. Give this a try - treat it well and you'll be happy !

Summary: Sony Shower Radio
Review: I found the Sony shower radio to be of exceptional quality. Both for reception and the volumn needed in a shower with the noise of the running water in your ears. It is easy to set the radio dials on all three, FM, AM, and Weather Bands.
One problem with turning it off quickly, is that the off button is right next to the 'Band' changing button on top of the radio. Because the radio has to be up high so as not to get too wet, it is hard to find the turn-off button.
But overall, this radio provides fine quality music and dialog for the shower.

Summary: Best shower radio I've had
Review: I had one of these for 5 years. It finally died, only because the button covering wore thin from use and water got into where it wasn't suppose to. The batteries last a really long time and the timer is crucial! Other radios that don't have this feature run through batteries quickly. I bought a fancy CD radio from Sharper Image and it totally sucks. The batteries last about a week or two and it doesn't have a timer. What it does have is a sleep alarm that you can accidently hit and have go off in the middle of the night. I'm returning my Sharper Image radio and buying another Sony. Best $50 bucks I've ever spent. With the weather radio feature it can really come in handy.

Summary: Good product, easy to use
Review: I have owned this product for about a month. The radio knobs and buttons are large and easy to use. This is especially handy when you're wet and it's early in the morning. The radio also has a nice battery saving feature enabling you to easily set a timer based upon your expected listening time. I have never successfully found a working "weather band" on any radio, but the preset buttons enable me to easily choose my favorite stations. There is also a setting to listen to your favorite TV stations. I guess it can be nice to listen to the "Today Show" in the shower.
