Description:
Sangean's WR-1 radio is the culmination of the company's 30 years of experience in the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art radios. This beautifully crafted retro-looking single-speaker radio was designed to create the warm rich tones normally found only in larger, more expensive home stereos. Specially designed circuitry and a custom-made, large-magnet speaker combine forces in an attractive and acoustically corrected wood cabinet. The black-finished MDF (medium-density fiberboard) cabinet will accent any room in your home or office. Simple to operate with three conventional knobs, the 3-inch speaker and 7-watt amplifier easily fill a room with pure, undistorted sound, even at high listening levels. The radio houses built-in FM and AM antennas, but you can use optional external antennas too, via the WR-1's rear-panel antenna terminals. Inclined to listen in the car? Just hook it up with an optional 9 to 14V vehicle DC/AC adapter. An auxiliary input lets you hook up a CD or MP3 player, and you can feed the WR-1's record output to a cassette deck (or even a quarter-inch reel-to-reel machine, if you still have one) for preserving favorite radio shows for subsequent listens. You'll also appreciate the unit's soft, precision analog tuning, rotary tuning and volume controls, and handy tuning LED indicator. Dynamic bass compensation enhances the speaker's bass output, and a headphone jack lets you listen in private. What's in the Box Radio, power cord, and a user's manual.
