Rating: Summary: The spring breaks on freeplay Review: The freeplay radio is a great idea: wind it up and it plays for one hour. No more batteries! A great conversation piece! The perfect radio for emergencies! The problem is, I have had two freeplay radios and the spring broke in both of them after only a few months of usage. In the radio with a solar cell to recharge the battery, the solar cell overheated in the Florida sun and became useless. I couldn't return them as I didn't have the receipt. Bummer. Not for daily use as they don't last (at least mine didn't). Keep one for emergencies, the beach, camping.
