Summary: Skips when I run
Review: This player works fine if you don't subject it to much of a bounce. Even with the Case Logic neoprene CD player belt, it skipped when I ran with it. I set the player to the skip-resistant mode, but it didn't make a lot of difference. As far as the method the manufacturer recommends, strapping it in the palm of your hand, that might work as far as skipping goes, but no thanks. I run on trails, etc., and I would not want to take a tumble with a CD player strapped to my hand. No problems with walking, but if you're buying it to run with, I wouldn't recommend it.

Review: This product has been the absolute best CD player that I have ever owned. There are very few flaws:
PROS:
1. Very durable.
2. NO SKIPPING IN MUSIC!
3. Clear radio.
4. Many wonderful features including TV tuning and weather broadcasting station.
5. Plays CD-R and CD-RWs
6. Very secure!
CONS:
1. Weather brodcastion is rarely clear.( I suggest and improvement in the antenna)
2. Slight crackling in right side of headset.(Defect)
3. Volume does not go loud enough at times.
4. Headset needs top be more durable.
I HOPE THIS HELPED SOME OF YOU WHO WERE PERHAPS THINKING OF BUYING THIS PRODUCT. ALL IN ALL, MY EXPERIENCE WITH CD PLAYER IS VERY VERY WONDERFUL.

Summary: Sony D-FS601 Walkman
Review: What's so great about this CD player for me is that it is by far one of the most sturdy, rugged players in the market. I'm a klutz, and I've dropped the thing upwards of 20 times from some pretty high heights over the past year that I've owned it and it still works as well as it did when I first bought it. The thing is like a friggin' rock.

The fact that it has BOTH and FM and AM band is great, given that most players offer only FM. For a news/talk radio fan like me, that's important. Other features, like the G-Protection that ensures that the CD will never, ever skip because its jostled, or the fact that it's designed so that the entire player can be operated with your right hand make it one of the best CD players I've ever owned.
