Rating: Summary: Logitech ClickSmart 510 Review: NEGATIVE: + too big. + the stand is hard to adjust and mine broke, so i cant adjust it at all. the camera is so heavy that it just leans down because the stand cant even keep it up anymore. + when it's not connected to the computer, the flash sucks. it's too bright when you take a picture. everything is white. + the settings and coloring aren't that good.POSITIVE: + clear pictures + portable ... etc.
Rating: Summary: Best webcam ever. Review: Never had any problem, great quality pictures, and easy on batteries. ^_^
Rating: Summary: Pretty good....if you CANNOT spend more than $150 Review: Picture quality is ok. Ease of use and webcam abilities are excellent. This is great if you cannot afford to spend $300+ on a real digital camera. So, 2 stars if you are expecting a good digital camera. 5 stars in the 'get what you pay for catagory'.
Rating: Summary: Great camera! Review: The camera is EXCELLENT for the price. It's got really good sound coming in through the built-in microphone, good picture quality and frame rate for videos and it's SO easy to download photos and video onto your computer. All you have to do is install the software, plug the USB cord into your computer and camera, and press the lit button on the front and your images are on your computer! SO easy to use! I've been playing with it ever since I got it this afternoon. My only complaint is that at its maximum photo resolution, 1280x960, picture quality drops. This really isn't recommended if you want high-resolution photos. Still a great day-to-day camera.
Rating: Summary: Great Webcam! So-So Digital Camera. Review: The ClickSmart 510 is a very good webcam and is an okay digital camera. Now don't expect your pictures to be great quality because it is only 1.3 megapixel, but it's good enough for beginners or people who just want to play around with a camera. It also has a built in microphone and has a video feature. I haven't really used the video feature so i guess i can't tell you much on that. I think you can take 30 second videos or maybe longer. The webcam feature is very nice and is probably one of the best webcams on the market especially for its price. The microphone is a nice added bonus. The digital camera feature is so-so. However for 120 bucks it's great because the webcam alone is worth that price. If you're expecting a great digital camera you'll be disappointed, but it is decent quality. All in all, if you're looking to buy a webcam, look no further because this is the product for you. It's a great webcam for a great price with the added bonus of a digital camera, microphone, and short videos. If you're looking for a digital camera I'd recommend shelling out the extra cash and buying a "true" digital camera because as a digital camera this product won't really cut it unless you don't mind so-so quality pictures.
Rating: Summary: Good multi-use digital camera/webcam Review: This camera is great for entry level use in digital photography, the pictures are of adequate quality. You can use it for 90 sec's of digital video as well and when attached to your computer acts as a webcam (great for family if you have high-speed internet access) Bottom line is, for (the price) don't expect much in quality of photos, but plenty of features.
Rating: Summary: Great computer camera, little less on stand alone Review: This camera takes great photos when hooked up to your PC. The video output is great and the self adjustment for low lighting allows you to sit in a room lit with table lamps and still appear brightly lit with good detail. It works very well with modem hookups for conferencing or instant messaging with video. However, when hooked in with DSL this camera flys. The microphone picks up sound very well.
Rating: Summary: Great Amature Day-to-Day Camera Review: This is a fun camera. I upgraded the 8MB SmartMedia card to a 64MB SmartMedia card and decovered you go from taking 100+ pictures to 999+ Pictures. Additionally, this camera does video. With the 8MB card that comes standard you can do a 1.5 minute video at medium resolution or a 3 minute video at low resolution. High resolution is only available when it's attached to the computer. With the 64MB SmartMedia card the video record time is grealy increased. I discovered I will use up the batteries before I run out of video. The downside to the camera is any movement in the camera or the object being photographed can cause the picture to blur or come out a bit grainy. There is no real problem in video mode. But like I said it's a fun day-to-day camera that will provide lots of enjoyment especially if you buy the 64MB card or higher.
Rating: Summary: Great camera for the price but... Review: This is a very good webcam. I love the fact that, unlike almost all other webcams, you can detach it from the base and use it as an actual portable digital camera. This is a very nice feature, unfortunately, the image qualty is far inferior to many other digital cameras. It has good webcam quality, but your average webcam generally has a lower quality than your average regular digital camera. The audio quality is very good, and the video quality is mediocre. It is, though, far and away better than anything else I have seen in its price range. I read a lot of the other reviews about this camera and there were a few complaints about the software installation. I have a Windows XP computer and I don't think I have ever installed anything this easily. All you have to do is follow the instructions. There are 3 steps. 1) Insert the batteries and SmartMedia card that come in the package. There are pictures so even if you don't know the + side of a battery from the - side, you can see quite clearly what needs to be done. 2) Stick in the CD and follow the instructions. 3) When it tells you to, plug the camera into the USB port on the computer. That's it. It worked on the 1st try without any problems. It took less than 10 minutes from unpacking the box until I was snapping pictures. There are a few other interesting functions, like you can set it up as a motion detector. Then it will record anything that happens in front of it and it will not record when there is no motion. Good for spying on the babysitter to make sure they aren't doing anything unsavory! Getting images out of the camera and onto the computer is a breeze. Just plug it in and push one button on the front of the camera. All the images are quickly downloaded into the computer so you can see them, delete them if you don't like 'em or put into your folders, email to friends, or burn to CD. My main complaint is that there is no display on the camera to see the picture you just took. You have to wait until you get back to your computer to see the pictures. But then, it is still an improvement over having to get film developed! Overall, this is a pretty solid camera with some very nice functions for the price. You can get better quality cameras out there, but you will probably have to pay double what this one costs. I wouldn't recommend using this one for your wedding photos, but it is great for around the house shots, web cam, video conferencing, and quick-and-dirty snapshots for showing off your stuff or selling it all on ebay.
