Summary: Needs alot of light
Review: This camera works nicely in very well lit rooms. But in my office with all the lights turned on, I could not use it as a web cam, it simply would not take pictures in regular room light. Plus many of my daylight images came out fuzzy. I have a 3 year old QuickCam VC, and it's image quality is much better.

Summary: You get what you pay for!
Review: This is a BASIC digital camera...no flash, no instant display. The camera is small, and very easy to use. It is outdated now, having been replaced by the DSC 350F...which has a flash! You don't pay for film, you don't pay for developing...All things considered, a great buy.

Summary: Versitale Webcam - Casual Camera
Review: This is a great camera for taking snapshots at your desktop or anywhere and attaching to email. At first I was looking for a webcam that would sit beside my computer, and then I found the DSC-350 with the added versitality of being portable. I can take it to another room, or outside, or to the mall and take picture and import them easily into my computer. The software that comes with the camera is very good and easy to install and use. The resoulution is fine for my applications (i.e.email to friends and family). It isn't a replacement for a fine 35mm camera or one with very high resolution. For that application you should consider a more expensive camera. I believe all the negative reviews are based on the reviewed choosing the wrong camera for 'their' application. If you want to take a snapshot at you computer or around the house, and send it via email, this is an excellent camera. If you're looking for portrait quality resolution, then it isn't and you should spend more money and get a high resolution camera. BTW, printouts are quite nice and of the quality where you would hang them up on the refridgerator for everyone to see. I haven't run out of memory yet when taking picture. I've taken up to 45 pictures, with a lot of capacity left. I usually take it at high resolution (1024X;768??) and edit it down to a manageable size (JPEG @ approximately 60K per picture).

Summary: Ideal First Digital Camera
Review: This is my first digital camera, and for the money, I am amazed at what it can do, and I have barely scratched the surface. I have e-mailed pictures to relatives and have had several comments on their clarity and sharpness. One comment came from my son who asked, "What kind of a camera do you have, the pictures are great." When I told him, he said that the pictures were a lot better than his $500.00 Kodak's. My D-Link came with Photo Suite III SE and Video Wave III SF software. They work great with my camera and and easy to use.

Summary: Great potential that needs development
Review: This is the Brownie of the digital cameras. If you know exactly what this camera is capable of, you can get good pictures, but not great ones. The picture capacity, was the main selling feature I was interested in. I would recommend waiting for D-link to come out with DSC-450 or 500 with a flash shoe, better lens( maybe a zoom ), and better light sensing electronics.
