Summary: This is worth your money!!!!!
Review: ...I know for a fact that it is awsome. The setup was easy, and it had very few problems but weren't hard to fix. So you should buy it if you are just getting started using a web cam.

Summary: As Advertised
Review: Easy to install and a breeze to operate. The software works fine.
For an entry level web cam it is a solid contender. If you are looking for crystal clear images and vivid color this is not the camera for you. You must spend allot more green stuff if you expect that kind of quality.

Summary: Limited uses
Review: First of all, the camera works well, when it works. My QuickCam software won't recognize the camera, even though it works fine in other programs. Logitech knows there is a problem with their software. They have an extensive help page on the subject, but ultimately they can't fix it.

Second, if you are looking to set up a webcam, the software only allows the use of SpotLife.com. You cannot setup a webcam anywhere else with their software. Their online support says they removed the feature because it was too difficult to support. You'll need to find and purchase additional third party software.

Third, I just found out that they do not offer an 800 number for tech support. You have to use online support, email them, or call them long-distance.

Finally, the quality of the image and performance of the camera itself are fine.

Hope this helps.

Summary: good for videoconferencing
Review: Good for the price. If you want a camera for pics, this is not the one. I only use for videoconferencing. The software will trick you into thinking you need to pay for membership at spotlife in order to videoconference. Don't fall for it. You can use microsoft netmeeting in your windows software for free!!

Summary: Horrible
Review: I can't believe I paid $80 for this camera. It locks up constantly, pictures are so grainy you can barely make out what it is. This is by far the worst camera I have ever used. *make note to self - add new camera to my wishlist*

Summary: Decent & inexpensive
Review: I have had the Quickcam for a while now, and while it is a decent camera, the quality could be a little better. The software is slow, which I would like to see improved. But for the money it is a lot of fun and an easy way to have your own Webcam running in a few minutes.

Summary: A Sweet Little Camera
Review: Not only is the setup easy, but it is versatile as well. It comes with the ability to sit on a nice rubber stand or be clipped onto a notebook computer. The user can remove it and place it back on either stand by simply picking it up. It is the size of a large egg and has a shield that can be slid over the lens to ensure privacy. Finally, the software is quite nice and simple to use and comes with automatic updating when you are online. (That is an automatic memo inviting the user to update software for free.) It really is a sweet little camera. Clearly one of the better ones on the market for the money.

Summary: Easy to set up, simple instructions, *doesnt work*
Review: Other users have complained that the picture is grainy, that it works some times, but not others, that the software doesnt work, et cetera.

My experience with the camera is thus.

I bought it, opened the package, and installed it within 2 minutes. Its extremely easy to set up. I just plugged it into my USB port.

The software at first didnt work, so I went to Logitech's website and downloaded the "new" software. It didnt work either. So I attempted to use quite a few other shareware programs for webcams, and none of them were able to recognize it at all.

The camera didnt power up. I decided that perhaps it should use a powered hub (which is described in the 2-page manual), so I took a powered hub off one of my other computers, and hooked the camera up to it. It still didnt power up, and none of the software worked then, either.

This camera is a piece of junk. The software is poorly written, the support from Logitech is awful, the manual is also awful. It just plain doesnt work.

I gave it one star for easy installation and another star for being cheap. Minus three stars for ... Oh, and for the curious, I did try it on my mac -- It didn't work there, either.

Summary: For a WebCam, not bad at all...
Review: paying "($) dollars" for an easy setup, plug & play webcam, i think this is realy good.
1. its image is realy good for just ($) dollars if you adjust the camera's focus correctly by turning the camera's lens (green or black circle around the lens) to make the image more clear. I also have a sony trv-20 digital camcorder so trust me I know what is a ($) dollars worth image looks like.
2. also this camera cam with a mic which is also working nicely even better then my aiwa's mic came with my walk-man
3. as a yahoo messenger user, this is a perfect fit. I spent a lot of time try to make my sony working on yahoo messenger... it didn't work. Let the ($) dollar webcam do its job, ok?

final thought, if you don't need the attached mic, you can get the one without a mic for around ($) (exactly same thing just not voice.)
