Summary: poor
Review: There is much better out there for the same money. The Creative NX pro for example. Webcam is very sensitive to lighting conditions, poor with showing correct colors and hard to stay in focus. Save your money.

Summary: Good Choice at a good price
Review: This camera is quite good for the price. Installed it on XP, worked seamlessly. The accompanying software is pretty good too. Remember to check the Veo website for an updated driver.

Summary: Dont waste your time or money
Review: This camera sucks!!! Installation was very easy, just follow the directions. But, the image quality was horrible. It was very dark, very grainy. I could not adjust any of the settings because if I did I would get a garbage picture, and sometimes it would just freeze and stop capturing video all together.

Get a Creative Labs NX Pro instead, its the same price and 1000x better.

Summary: AWESOME LITTLE NUMBER
Review: This is a great little Webcam!!! at first I thought it wasn't that great but after playing with it and adding direct light it is AWESOME. Here's a tip-make sure you have light faceing you not behind you. The better your light the better the picture is.

The Mic is a added bonus..not only can you see someone you can talk live to them. I really like this feature. It also has great software with it. I love making videos to send in emails. It takes great snapshots too. Just make sure your lighting is good. This webcam is all about the Lighting!!!

It is very easy to install also..even a beginner will be able to install it with no problems.

Summary: Clips right on to my Flat Pannel Monitor!
Review: This is the coolest camera. It has a built in mic and this cool clip that attaches to my flat pannel monitor. I was impressed with the quality of the image too.

Summary: You've Been Cheated
Review: This webcam doesn't work with NetMeeting. You can see the video but you cannot get audio. Their marketing materials approach [is bad] since they package NetMeeting on the installation CD to give the impression that the camera works with NetMeeting. The Advance Connect has a built in microphone, but Veo's own technical support pages have the following sentence: "A microphone (not included) and the Veo Advanced Connect Web Camera must be connected to the computer in order to make use of all of the program's functions."They state you need a microhphone connected and side step the microphone tuning part of the installation. Why do the technical support documents for a webcam with with a built-in microphone start with "A microphone (not included)..."? The answer is that the built-in microphone doesn't work with NetMeeting. It also doesn't work with the built-in Sound Recorder that every version of Windows has had since version 3.0 in 1990. If you are considering purchasing this webcam for the video and microphone combination to use with NetMeeting, Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and many others, then you will lose your money and have to purchase a microphone. THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY PACKAGED AND PRESENTED TO GIVE THE WRONG IMPRESSION. IT DOESN'T WORK AND YOU WON'T LIKE IT.

Summary: No problems ... but the quality of the images is poor
Review: What do you expect for $$$$? Not much. What did I get? About $50 worth. With that said, I must also add that it works - I had no problems installing it at all (I am running a Pentium 4 machine, connected to optimum online and the operating system is XP Pro).

As suggested by another reviewer here - I read the little manual first (before installing) and everything worked the first time. It took only a few minutes to set everything up. I had a bit of trouble with the webcam interface to MSN messenger but that was my fault - I went to Veo's website read their document regarding the setup procedure and then it worked fine.

The images produced by the cam were disappointing - I work in a low light area and until I added an additional light next to my desk, the images were horrible. With the additional lamp, the images are just okay. The instruction booklet shows example images that look like "photos" - this is not the case - the camera's images are grainy, the motion is very choppy - read the first sentence of this review again.

If nothing else, it was an interesting experiment. I've only had it a few days so maybe I'll get better response from it eventually. The most fun is having the live image appear while instant messaging my friends/family.

In summary - cheesy but it works.
