Rating: Summary: Great sound, but... Review: ok, this product is just grand, but mine has one fault. IT PICKS UP RADIO STATIONS ;\. At first i thought this was the speakers i purchased, but then i plug my headphones into the sound card, and i can still hear the radio stations. It isnt very bad because its really really really muffled and not loud at all. I just thought id mention this to see if anyone else had this same problem. Me personally, i dont really care, cause my sound quality kicks a. -my speakers also have a digital decoder, so that makes it sound 2x better, if your considering buying one.
Rating: Summary: Good sound card, bad drivers Review: Sblive MP3 comes with some excellent software for listening and recording music including Cakewalk. It also has a Karaoke program and a voice assist program with an animated Parrot! It's worth it just for the Creative Playcenter and effects. The sound card itself performs very well. It was easy to install and I'm happy I got it.

Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT FOR THE PRICE Review: The difference between the Live! MP3+ and the Live! X-Gamer is the bundled software. If you want a great sound card that supports 4 speaker setups, then this is the one for you. I recommend downloading LiveWare 3.0 if you get this card. It makes audio adjustments for different purposes. If you want to listen to a CD then just click "Listen to CD" or if you want to play an enviromental audio game(such as Half-Life: Opposing Force) then just click "Play EAX game". It is a very good program that really brings out the best in the Live! series of sound cards. By the way, with the Live! series of sound cards you will also notice an increase in frame rates in first person 3D games where there is alot of sound. It' just a GREAT sound card. Everybody I know that has upgraded or built a new system is exceptionally impressed with this card.
Rating: Summary: Good sound card, bad drivers Review: The drivers for the SBLive have never been great. With Windows 2000 the drivers were horrible. With Windows XP, you can have basic functionality, but instally Liveware (required to get all the features from the card) will cause system instability, etc. Don't buy this for XP!
Rating: Summary: Not for Win2000 - Can't plug in speakers and mic at same tim Review: The main reason I got this was because I upgraded my system from Win98 to Win2000. Unfortunately it did not come with the Win2000 drivers and I had to download them. The problem is then that the download does not give you all the software (mixing, recording...) which really shrinks the value. Also, the jacks are too close that I can't put in my mic and speaker/headphones at the same time. Duh!! If you have win2000 or think you might go there (I like it) get another card.

Rating: Summary: Just a Sound Blaster Live with extra software Review: The Sound Blaster Live +MP3 is a great card but it is just the standard Sound Blaster Live with extra bundled software. I was expecting some type of additional hardware acceleration for mp3 playback and encoding but the price still isn't bad for the great sound quality. Some of the software is pretty useless, however I found the encoding software to be great with encoding support up to 360 Kb/s and full CDDB support. The software also goes nicely with my Nomad as it makes it easy to increase the volume of a quiet recording or add special effects easily.
Rating: Summary: Great card and a great price. Review: The sound on this card is great. Installation was simple with no problems whatsoever. Lots of included software that lets you customize the sound you want. Highly recommended!
