Rating: Summary: Great Sound Card ! Review: Not wanting to jump directly into the high - end sound cards which all seem to cost @ $100+ , I researched what was available in the $50 range. I am very pleased with the product ! The fact that this card has an optical digital out makes it worth every penny spent . I can now connect my PC to my high -end home stereo and finally get all my music onto one drive , using optical digital for the transfer.I do agree with others that the documentation is the weak point . There are references to "online" manuals , but they only exist for the software . It took a bit of configuring to get the card set up . It was still worth the extra effort .I think that even those folks who don't enjoy having to "tweak" their hardware/software will be pleased with this product.
Rating: Summary: Don't Plan On Using This For Games Review: When I first put this card in I was impressed with the sound quality. If your buying this for music or just to plug it into your stereo, it does a good job. If you wish to install and play games go elsewhere. It likes to lock up on most games.
