Review: This is the best device I've found to connect your PC to your home stereo system. Installation is a complete snap and you can use it or remove it in a heartbeat. No searching for device drivers, no confusion. Just plug it in to your USB port and go. The 30 feet of high quality audio cable is a nice bonus, showing that the folks at Xitel care about getting the audio signal to your stereo, but also how it sounds once it gets there.The Hi-fi Link is perfect for using with your MP3 collection, online radio or the new music subscription services like Listen.com's Rhapsody. Highly recommended!

Summary: Xitel has a winner on its hands with HiFi-Link
Review: Why hasn't someone thought of this before? When I heard about this product (buzz over the Internet and great media reviews), I bought one immediately. Now, I use my computer and my laptop as my main digital media center and all for under [$$$] - can't figure out how these guys managed to do that. I can play my CDs off my computer or MP3 files and they sound fabulous using the HiFi-Link.

Review: Wow, this little gadget is great! I bought it to run streaming audio (from Listen.com's Rhapsody program) from a laptop into our home stereo. Computer sound cards tend to be lousy, and laptops are often some of the worst, so the HiFi-Link is a vast improvement. No more buzzing and hissing, no more having to unplug or mute the laptop when the music wasn't playing to stop the background noise you could still hear--just clear music when it's playing, and silence when it's not. I also use it at work sometimes between my PC and my headphone amplifier (an AirHead from Headroom: headphone.com), and that sounds EXCELLENT. I may just get another one so I can have one at home for the stereo and one at work for headphones.
