If you use a Yap phone to call a conventional phone, the U.S. long-distance rates begin at 1 cent per minute and international rates start at 3.9 cents per minute. Calling card rates begin at 4.9 cents per minute for U.S. and international calls. The Yap comes with a 1,000-minute calling card.
