Rating: Summary: Great little card, nice blue cord... Review: first of all, this is a 10/100mbs card, which means it will be faster than a 10mbs card if your your network is 100mbs+. Though network cards are fairly boring and undifferentiated products, I like this one- here are 4 reasons why:1.The 'dongle' has THREE indicators lights, thats three times as many as most other dongles. Also, it feels like a sturdy fit, that won't snap off that easily. 2.The Blue rj-45 cable is a smooth, out of the ordinary color, that reminds you that you have a stylish netgear card stuck inside. 3. The drivers loaded no-probs on my good old dell lattitude 133mhz, which is on windows 2000 now. (my 3 year old Xircom card just broke). 4. It matches my Netgear [7 port 10/100mbs] hub, which I have grown to like because it looks good and works well, so I am becoming a loyal Netgear fan. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because after all, it is still just a network card.
Rating: Summary: worked great right out of the box Review: I bought the FA-410 for a 100MHz Fujitsu Monte Carlo running Windows 95 (rev A). It was a breeze to setup and it works great. I had previously tried another brand which did not work.
Rating: Summary: Work like a charm..!!!! Review: I decide to get this FA 410 instead FA 510 to save me some buck. I don't know if i am really make a right choice but after trying to compare the two product, the only thing different is that FA410 consumming a little more power. But that will not be a problem because I can always plug power to my labtop. I use this to access my Ethernet at my school with my Toshiba Win 98. Eventhougth on the package did not said will work with 98 but don't worry. Will work with Win 98. ( I was worry at first too)
Rating: Summary: Better Than Linksys.... Review: I love it....In three minutes, this NIC installed on the first try, unlike any of the Linksys products I have used before.
Rating: Summary: Better Than Linksys.... Review: I'm new to using computer networks, and I have to say that this card DOES it all, for less than the cost of a USB-to-ETHERNET adapter, and can run at 100mbps. I was not sure which brand to buy but the Fact that the Netgear was in stock and the Linksys was not made me choose Netgear, and I am so glad I have! This works good on my cable modem and my uncles! The card works in My Sony PCG-XS and other laptops I have tried it in! This is a great find!

Rating: Summary: Windows ME Review: If you are going to try to install this on the Windows ME operating system - beware of several bugs. You may try to download the fix on their website, but don't count on that working either. Even their other instructions on their website didn't help. I ended up buying another brand and it installed with no problems at all.
Rating: Summary: Netgear Equals Superb Service Review: This holiday season I was a good santa and purchased numerous wireless networking products for my various family members. Sure it was partially a selfish act as I wanted to be able to easily connect when I went to visit, but for the most part it was just an act of giving. I purchased mainly G products and they varied from routers to USB adapters to PC Card adapters. I did also purchase a couple of B products for those in the family that already had some wireless networking products (yes, I know they are backwards compatible but I didn't want to take any chances).
Only two members of the family had installation problems (considering my family is very non-technical I was quite impressed) and those two people both had yet to upgrade to Windows XP SP2. The rest of the family members were up and running within minutes.
As for the couple of family members that did have problems, well they called me first (of course) and I told them to just run back through the installation procedure again. This solved the problem for Uncle Dennis but Grandma Joyce still couldn't get it to work properly. I reluctantly told her to call Netgear's technical support (hey the reviews on Amazon haven't been too pretty for their tech support). I however was quite pleased when an hour later I got an email from Grandma Joyce thanking me for the great gift. I called her back and she told me that after fiddling with the settings with the Netgear people she was up and running within 30 minutes.
Overall, I consider this the ultimate test of product quality and support and I would give Netgear two thumbs up.
I hope this review was helpful to you in putting your mind at ease regarding ease of setup and trust of technical support if needed.
Rating: Summary: Excellant product Review: This is a great product. I just got it in today and within five minutes it's installed and on the network. I reccomend buying this product and other netgear products before even thinking about buying Linksys products. I bought a linksys PCMPC100 for this laptop and it turned out to be faulty. I sent it back for another and it was bad as well. Now I have this card and it works like a charm.
Rating: Summary: Works good But... Review: This is a really good card, easy to install, and is very reliable. The only bad thing is that the Wire connected to the card is fragil, and will break off eventually. I read about this problem before buying, but I figured, if Im extra careful, it wont happen to me.. but it does, and will... Ive had it for over a year now, and havent had to replace it yet, but any day now I will.. a slight bump to my laptop and the cord falls out.. Other than that problem, I recomend this card, if your not always on the go with your laptop... Z
