Summary: Great Card, Great Price, No Problems
Review: Linksys is a leader in networking for good reason. I first got this card because of my new cable internet connection. Even if you are a novice computer user with no experience in computer hardware you can install this card youself! The directions are very good with step by step instructions that are easy to read for anyone. Once you have it installed the driver instructions are also easy to read and offer them for Any operating system you can think of. If you are running windows xp (or thinking of upgrading) you don't even need to install the drivers yourself because they are built into windowsxp and it will install itself making instulation that much easier! They also have a nice webpage that further explains troubleshooting if you get into a problem for some reason! Don't go pay some store 50-100 bucks to install a network card you can do it yourself in 20 mintues for nothing and Linksys makes it possible at a very good price!

Also, after having the card installed for over a year it has never gave me any problems whatsoever! I wish i could say that about some other hardware that i have purchased!

Summary: This card is sweet
Review: I'd like to tell you that it is better than a lot of other cards out there, but I don't think it is. When trouble shooting my network, I decided to return another ethernet card, made by another manufacturer, and see if that was my problem. Since I was using a Linksys Router Cable DSL hub, I thought it could be part of it. NOT, it performed the same. My performance problem turned out to be Norton Internet Security, which was only installed on that machine. Nothing to do with the hardware.
All in all, this card is a very nice piece of equipment. It couldn't install any easier. Booted down, with your power plug removed, you install it in an available PCI slot. When rebooting, it asks for the driver, which is located on the included CD. It loads, and your off to the races. No configuring. Just smooth performance.
Highly recommended. Linksys has been only good to me.

Summary: If you have Windows ME...read my review
Review: I just installed this NIC card and I'm so far happy with it's performance. My only complaint about it is that it doesn't have any installing instructions for Windows ME in the box. You have to go to the Linksys website and click on the service&support menu-> user guides-> and then select LNE 100TX - EtherFast 10/100 LAN Card. Basically, when the new device window comes up all you have to do in click on advance and select A:\winme as the location of your drivers.

If you follow the Window 98 instructions you might be able to figure it out, but you'll most likely end up with a headache like me. Trust me, save yourself the grief and go to their website and print out the instructions on how to install on Windows ME. Besides, it will give you something to do while you wait for it to arrive.

Also if you have been using broadband with a USB connection, I suggest you by this product or some other NIC card. After installing this card my cable modem downloads from websites have been on the average faster then my USB connection. So if you don't have a NIC card or don't like the one you have then get this one. I my case it's been a cheap solution for faster performance.

Summary: Easy Pickins
Review: I got my girlfriends Win98 vintage desktop up and going onto a cable access and with a linksys wireless router with some mild confusion. The Win98 desktop could not program the wireless router, but the WinXP notebook, with its cable connected to the router programmed it properly, and then the wireless link to the notebook and the Win98 desktop works ok.

Some persistance was necessary to sort that out, but I guess that par for the course when working with Windows.

The Linksys LNE100TX 10/100 Card worked without a hitch, prior stuff notwithstanding....

Summary: FAST, EASY, AFFORDABLE, and REALIABLE
Review: I bought this little fella while it was on sale, and
with a [$$$] rebate. It was practically free.

I'm running Windows 2000 on a older Dell Dimension
(P333 w/192MB ram).

The installation of the card was very very easy. The
instructions with the unit were very clear. I am
techno-savvy, but I still though the text and the supporting
color pictures were great.

The software installation on Window 2000s was a snap. I
didn't even need the support disk. Windows 2k recognized
the card, and installed it all for me.

I LOVE PLUG-n-PLAY.

LinkSys is a reputable company ...LinkSys
has a great website as well. I bought this product for
the Name recognition and price. I've had it installed for
a few months and have had nothing but great success.

Summary: For the money, the best NIC on Amazon!
Review: Installation was very simple and took less than 10 minutes, but most of that time involved removing and assembling the PC case. Windows ME automatically detected and installed the LNE100TX without any problems. Furthermore, I've tested this item under Linux (Fedora Core and Mandrake) and it performs just as smoothly as it does under Windows. Because my cable modem was previously connected to my PC via the USB port, I noticed a slight increase in the speed and quality of my broadband connection after I connected the modem to this card. If your computer does not have a NIC, this would be an ideal choice for the average desktop PC.

Summary: Worthless... period
Review: Easy installation.... I think not. I tried to install this card on my WinME machine... everything was going fine until it said it needed an extra file. I found it, it said it installed. I'm rebooting my comp, when it freezes on the Windows Logo. I cut the power after about 10 mins of sitting there, then reboot. The comp loads, I goto Device Manager, and see that my Linksys card has a fatal error, oh joy. I uninstall, then try reinstalling the drivers, I point the way to that extra file it says it needs. Again, my computer froze, in the middle of installing. To make a long story short... I had to revert my system back to before I had ever tried to install this. Be warned!

Summary: Slow connection; deception about rebates
Review: Advantage -it is cheap. Disadvantages - unstable and slow connection and downdoading; you have to restart your computer at least twice in hour.
Also, do not trust Linksys's ads about rebates: I have bought 3 items that were eligible for rebates (i.e., 3 weeks before the end of the qualifying period). They deceived me and refused to pay any.
So, next time I will choose another brand

Summary: Inexpensive network card, clear manual, and it works !!
Review: Our review title just about says it all -- for very little money, and merely opening up the PC tower and popping this in, we were connected to the network in no time with no trouble. The manual was clear and correct (amazing!). We can see why Linksys has a good reputation -- we are completely satisfied !

Summary: The best bang for the buck
Review: I bought like a dozen of these cards ranging from Version 4 to version 5.1 and all of them work very well in my LAN.

I will recommend them to my friends and continue to buy them for my desktop PCs. They slap in and install perfectly w/o any problems. I've never had one fail or run erratically.

STRONG BUY.
