Summary: buggy firmware, poor quality control?
Review: latest firmware 1.3.2 doesn't reliably pass dhcp to the wired network. linux won't work at all, windows barely works. the unit i bought has very weak reception compared to a friend's, so it is going back. appears to be same hardware internally as similar device from d-link.

Summary: XBox Live-wireless
Review: I picked up the WET11 with a bit of uncertainty. I had read some of the other reviews on Amazon and a couple had been about the difficulties of using this product with the XBox. My wireless network is set up with a Linksys BEFW11S4 router, my notebook computer is linked via a Lyksys PC card, my desktop with the Linksys wmp11 and now at last my XBox with the WET11. Installation of the initial wireless network required a call to tech support, however they were great. They solved my problem in under 5 minutes. Since then adding new devices or computers has been pretty much plug and play. The XBox was especially easy, I just had it search for all the reqired IP and DNS information and it was ready to play. No lag or other problems that I have noticed. I should mention that I do live in an apartment and since I am not having to worry about more than 30 ft between the units, obviously I get great reception and optimal data transfer rates. Basically if you need to hook up multiple computers and you don't want ugly LAN cables running all over your house or apartment go wireless. It is so much easier to get the frontroom console hooked up for online use with wireless technology.

Summary: PERFECT FOR XBOX!
Review: I bought the Linksys Wireless Bridge to hook up to Xbox Live and it runs perfectly! Installation was a no-brainer: Just pop in the install disk, hook up your WET11 to your wireless router, run the install program, restart, and you're done!

If there were any qualms at all with the experience, it would have to be that the install disk I received in kit was the wrong one. That was fixed easily by getting a replacement...

Apparently everyone's experience with the WET11 wasn't perfect, but it was for me. I highly recommend this product.

Oh yeah, and get Xbox Live while you're at it.

Summary: Linksys Wirelesss Print server
Review: The Linksys Wireless Printserver is unstable, unreliable and is very poorly supported. Linksys has absolutely the worst tech support I have ever encountered. Stay away from Linksys they don't seem to feel responsible for customer support. I now have two print servers because the support team told me after many long rounds of support that the product was defective. It turns out that it wasn't the support was defective.

Summary: FOR THE XBOX!?!
Review: I've been at it for 16 hour strait now trying this Linksys WET11 to work with my XBOX and followed the instructions from the Linksys site too! Sometimes it connects through to my Linksys Wireless Access Point Router w/4 point switch BEFWS4, but most of time . . . forget about it! I'm gonna just run the CAT5 cable around the outside of my house to the den, now.

Summary: make your tivo wireless and connect via cable/dsl
Review: If you want to remove your reliance on your Tivo downloading data over your phoneline, this unit is part of your solution. If you are like me and already have a wireless 802.11 PC network in your home you already have the basis for making your tivo wireless and it never needs to dial home again, tying up your phone line.

Here is how you do it.
1. you need to fit an ethernet card into your tivo. Do a search on the web for wireless tivo connection. You need the 9th tee turbonet card. Follow the instructions to install it (very easy to do)
2. buy this WET11 unit and connect it to the tivo via an ethernet card.
3. follow the simple 9th tee instructions for making tivo connect via your cable/dsl connection to get its programming data.

You can now remove your phone line connection to tivo!!
Enjoy.

Summary: Excellent Solution
Review: Purchased this to use with the Playstation 2 network adapter to connect to my wireless router on another floor in the house. It works just as it should and is extremely easy to set up. I get a full 11 mbps connection wirelessly to my upstairs wirelss Linksys router. I recommend this for anyone looking to connect a gaming system or other components to a wireless network.

Summary: Perfect PS2 solution
Review: I am using this with an SMC 7004AWBR connected to my DSL line. I have my PS2 hooked in via the WET11, and it works perfectly. I had this up and running in under 5 minutes.

Summary: Awesome way to connect devices without cabling
Review: We've used this device to connect our Turtle Beach Audiotron MP3 player, as well as our SonicBlue ReplayTV unit to the wireless network that is connected to the broadband connection. We would like to use this for our PS2 but can't find the network adapter anywhere.

I've also heard that it works great with the Xbox. If you have any of these devices (anything with an Ethernet port), get one of these to connect to your wireless network without having to run cables.

The device is extremely easy to set up, it takes less than five minutes to get everything running. Since this has come out I've seen wireless bridge's like this from two other networking companies, but I still love the Linksys.
