Summary: Does Not Work and Tech Help is Bad
Review: I could not even get the drivers for the card installed! I called the tech help desk and it took one entire day to speak to someone. Finally, they said it's because I'm running Windows 2000 and I need to download a new driver from their website. I did that and my system still wouldn't load the driver. The drivers on their website was older than the drivers that came on the CD. Afterward, it took another two days to reach someone at tech support (they said they will call me back and they never did), and then they said if I upgraded my operating system from NT 4.0 to Windows 2000, the drivers will not install and I'm out of luck. I'm never going to buy their products again.

Summary: Get a Wavelan card instead
Review: I have a Linksys WAP and two Linksys PC Cards. I have had all sorts of problems with the cards, including severely limited range (I couldn't get a signal 40 feet and two walls away), instability of the driver software necessitating twice daily ejection and reinsertion of the card and standby problems with Windows 2000.I borrowed a Lucent (now Orinoco) Wavelan card and what a difference! I now get full signal anywhere in my house, I've never dropped a connection and standby now works correctly. I still like the Linksys Wireless Access Point, but I think you should spend your money elsewhere when purchasing the cards.

Summary: Had a few problems
Review: Technical info in the manual and on the website was not helpful. However, customer support was very helpful. I had problems understanding that the card had to be set to the address assigned by my router. This was not covered in any manual and took tech support about an hour to finally figure out. Works well now but I almost returned it. Customer support was very good but the front-end documentation could be better. I might have helped if my router and wireless access card were made by the same company.

Review: I was able to have it set up in a matter of minutes. It was very cool to run a movie on my laptop's cd drive and have it play on the screen of my other wireless computer!

Summary: Loving it!!
Review: I use three of these cards in conjunction with the Linksys wireless access point (WAP11). I use this solution to share my DSL internet connection (along with the Linksys router BEFSR11). How sweet is is to be able to roam anywhere in my house and surf. The access point was backordered initially but was well worth the wait. You can not beat the price compared to some of the other products out there. I definitely recommend this unit.

Summary: really a nice product- great price, even better performace
Review: I have been installing wireless products for some time now. I can honestly say that this wireless adapter is the best performer I have come across. The range and speed on this unit is very impressive compared to some of the other cards I have had experience with. This card combines the best of all worlds: Price, performace, and most importantly (at least to me), ease of use. I would highly recommend this unit to both the home and professional user. Very slick card.

Summary: It works, but barely
Review: I recently purchased this product to use with my office wireless LAN. It works, technically, however, its range is vastly inferior to other Wireless LAN cards I own. Connection speeds drop off a great deal within 5 meters of the access point. Connection quality drops to Poor in just 10 meters with only one standard wall. If this product were half the price, it might be worth it for computers that are permanently located withing a meter or two of an access point. I don't recommend this product for moving Ad Hoc (computer-to-computer) connections.

Summary: Easy Set-up with XP, however Signal Range is Awful....
Review: I have come accustomed to Amazon's and or LinkSys' claims that its adapters have this unbelieveable signal range from Router. With my experience with this LinkSys WPC11 Wireless-B Notbook Adapter as well as the Linksys WUSB11 Wireless-B USB Network Adapter is that they do not have the 300 to 400 ft range as they claim. I get dismal signal strength when I have these adapters over 50 ft from the Router. If I dare to go 50ft or farther from the Router, the strength drops to "poor" or just completely drops off. One aggravating and costly solution to this problem is to buy the LinkSys WSB24 Wireless-B Signal Booster. Though this product is not available on Amazon, I bought mine for a whopping $50 at Circuit City. The furthest successful signal range (or get the "very good" signal readings on my adapters) WITH THE $50 SIGNAL BOOSTER is about 100 ft. The furthest successful signal range WITHOUT A BOOSTER is about 50ft. So this product gets 3 stars for its poor signal range and costly solution to the problem.

Summary: Worst software support EVER.
Review: This is the possibly the worst-supported piece of hardware that I have ever used, and I have been using computers regularly since the Commodore-64 days in the early 1980s. The hardware itself works just barely decently, but the software support is HORRIBLE. Don't buy this card expecting it to play nicely with Windows XP. XP does not even recognize that this is a wireless card, and therefore you cannot use Window's automatic configuration utility. Instead, you have to use Linksys's own utility, which is a total joke. It can't figure out what networks are in the area (so it's almost totally useless if you want to use it on a university campus, at an airport, etc.). And the software appears to have been written by grade schoolers: it is full of typos and misspellings, and if you try to, say, get help, a error dialog box pops up with a blank message -- all you can do is click "OK" to get it to go away. The sloppiness of the software is downright insulting to a paying customer. Stay far, far away from this card.
