Summary: It Took 20 Minutes to set up!
Review: If need multiple internet connections in your home, this is it! It took 20 minutes to set it up(you need your settings of course from your ISP). The set up through the browser was simple and easy to follow, the manual worked quite well. I never put the cd in the cd-rom drive!!!

It has, in my opinion, speed up my network connection, especially between computers. It does have 100BT support! A great product and I'm upset I waited this long to get it.

Don't wait, get this now! I've already talked 2 friends into buying this, don't dink around with 2000 or Win98SE for internet connection sharing, this was too simple!

Summary: Linksys BEFSR41
Review: This router is excellent. Ease of setup and plenty of configurable options, make this an excellent buy. Make sure that the Firmware is upto date and some configuration is required for specialist reasons. But for true Plug & Play (not pray) this can't be beat!!!

Summary: A Beauty to behold
Review: For a wired home network this is a must. If you have a cable modem or DSL modem and you use more than one computer this is a must. I have 2 desktops and 1 laptop hooked to my cable modem through this router. On the 4th port I installed the hawking print server and I'm all set!! All computers can be on the internet at the same time with super fast connection and with a print server I print directly to my printer from any machine in the house. No Problems. Things can't be this perfect in the home networking world. But thanks to Linksys it is. No, I don't work for the company. Just another internet junky, enjoying the age of technology.

Summary: None better yet
Review: I have seen and tested almost all of the current consumer router/firewall units on the market. This is by far the best package. It has a very easy setup, many extended features such as the port redirection, and is being actively maintained by Linksys, so if you have a problem, they may already have a firmware fix. Other products may try to promise more, but this one delivers.

Summary: Don't buy from Linksys
Review: Had a bad router (arrived bad). Spent over a week and countless hours with tech support trying to get device replaced. Linksys has the worst tech support and support infrastructure I have ever dealt with. No one there is knowledgeable about the products they sell. No one at Linksys seems to care about their customers. I had to wait over a week after we determined that the device was bad before anyone would contact me on getting a new device sent out. Linksys is no good, buy a Netgear product instead.

Summary: Linksys has a winner
Review: This family of products work great. If you have Cable or DSL you want one of these. In our group more than 20 people have bought these with great results. Consumer friendly is the key. This replaced many complex setups in windows and my layered firewall software. Now my computer is back to being a computer and my network does all the net work.

Summary: Linksys 4-Port Router is the best
Review: I have a B.S. in computer science, and am a java developer at Sun Microsystems. I must say with all the products out there on the market this product is one of the best for its purpose. One of my friends set up his home computer network on a Linux server with a firewall. He even stated that a router, this piece of hardware, added another layer of protection from outside the internal network. I hooked this up easily, as the setup was a breeze. The instructions are intuitive and straight forward. The best part is that the router has software to control the packets unlike a hub, which just sends the packets. With this Linksys Router, I never had to reset my cable modem again because of the effecient way it handles the data. It also acts as a 4 port hub, so I have connections for my computers as well as a connection for an additional hub for scalability (larger network). Not only does the data flow nicely, but I feel safer from attacks from the outside world with the router in place. Since I installed a Black Ice (firewall), I get attempted attacks everyday from IP's all over the world. If you want east of setup, scaliablity of the network, protection against intruders outside your network, and efficient use of packets, then this is the perfect solution at a fantastic price.

Summary: Best purchase I ever made
Review: I plugged it in, spent some time understanding it, and configured it. I've forgotten about it since.

Now I safely use the internet, free from worry. I was getting all kinds of junk from my cable connection: scans, denial of service attacks, you name it. Now I never see anything except my data. Once I configured everything the way I liked it, I've never had a problem with this box.

If you don't have a firewall and you are connected via cable or dsl from your home, you should buy this.

Summary: Excellent manual and easy set-up
Review: This product is excellent. Set up was so simple. An economical way to connect multiple home computers to a cable modem.

Summary: It lasted a year.
Review: I bought it at Amazon. The reviews were very mixed. It worked fine for me, with none of the problems other buyers seeemed to have. A cousin of mine took back 2 of them, and I felt superior, but mine also just bit the dust. It can't be addressed. I replaced it with a Netgear NT314, which seemed much easier to set up. It lasted a week and is going to have be returned tomorrow. Oh well.
