Review: I recently purchased the modem. When I got it today, I noticed that it was not the newiest cable modem v2. it was the older one, which stands up and is not stackable with other Linksys products.
If you want to purchase the modem, so you can stack it with the router, watch out. The current image that is shown in the Amazon site is the newier one which they are not shipping.

Summary: No hassles!
Review: Works just perfect. I use COX. I initially had problems setting up the modem and the connection. Only to discover later that the problem was with the cable company. They did not register my MAC address properly. So check to make sure that your cable company has the right MAC address and everything should be fine.

Summary: Nice modem, works like a charm
Review: This is my first broadband purchase after doing some review. I am very happy with the modem. It is really plug and play. I did have to do some configuration to setup the wired network. I have not upgraded to wireless but plan to purchase Linksys based on the modem's ease of use. I would give it 5 stars only if I owned it longer and it still runs well and if it works well with wireless.

Review: I ordered this to arrive just before establishing my ATTBI service. Even though I signed on for basic installation only, the tech who came to set up the wiring also set the modem up (even though it's not included on the ATTBI basic installation). Speeds are as promised--a definite upgrade from dial-up service.

Summary: Awesome Modem, Wrong Picture
Review: Hello! I have justy renectly purchased this modem at Best Buy, a chain store in my area. My modem has the same model number, but the modem looks totally different. The new one stands up or lays flat, it doesnt look like a router, and its small, about 6 inches high when stood up. None the less, both modems have great performence, weathear you have the new-ly styled one or the first one, both work great. Go to Linksys.com to see the new one and how it looks, Great buy, Better than all 5 of my other cable modems!

Summary: Works like a dream...
Review: About 1 month ago, I purchased this product. I dragged it home, hooked it up, made a call to ATTBI...lo and behold it was running in about 10 minutes. All they needed to do was register the MAC address and re-set-up the account.I am running 2 computers (via a Linksys router) through it and I have had no issues. I saw an earlier review which said ATTBI did not support this product. That is true, to an extent. They will not help you with the modem itself, but they do set up the MAC address to get it to work. One odd thing that did happen though. For some reason, my account was listed as suspended the next day. However, that was quickly resolved with one phone-call. Overall, I would highly recommend this product. It was easy to install, works great, AND it has a nice small footprint (takes up little space on the desk).

Review: The unit was exactly what I expected and needed. I was replacing a RCA rental provided by Comcast. It took longer to get Comcast to add it then it did to install. Included CAT 5 and USB cables for connecting.

Summary: Compatibility Problems with AT&T
Review: This modem did not work with the AT&T service at my house (I tried two different units) even though AT&T apparently supports this modem. AT&T service person came by and confirmed that the signal was OK and also tested with both a Toshiba and Motorola modem. Linksys tech support was easy to get to and generally helpful - although they could not solve my particular problem. I ended up returning and getting a Motorola 4200 which works fine.

Summary: Great Product, Pays for itself in a few months
Review: Easy setup, a must have for any broadband cable service subscriber. Called the cable company before I bought the modem to make sure it was compativle, then called the cable company after I recieved my modem in the mail, and gave them the model and mac address numbers(clearly labeled on modem). Then I just returned my old modem that I was renting ... and came home and the new modem was up and running, it was that easy.

Summary: Linksys BEFCMU10 Cable Modem
Review: I redily recomend this product to anyone that wants/needs their own cable modem. Since we purchased this product our system has been up 24x7 without a glitch and yeilds much better throughput than the one the cable company supplied. It took all of about 5 minutes to install, and that included the phone call to register with the cable company.
