Summary: Easy to set up, and it works !!!
Review: I just purchased the Linksys BEFCMU10 ver 2 and replaced a Toshiba modem that I was renting from Cox. I literally opened the box, set up the modem, called Cox to update the MAC address and serial number for the new modem, and was back online within 15 - 20 minutes. I connected my pc directly to the modem to make sure it was working, and everything was ok. I didn't lose any speed by changing from the Toshiba, and I may have gained a little. Next, I powered down the modem, connected it to my Linksys Wireless Cable/DSL Router, powered both units, and once again, I was back online....wireless mode now. This unit is much smaller and lighter than the Toshiba, but I am very happy with the purchase.

Summary: Works just as advertised
Review: I signed up for AT&T Broadband (now Comcast) cable Internet access, and afer reviewing many alternatives (including just letting them provide me with a modem for a few bucks more per month), I decided to buy this. It worked perfectly, right out of the box, with no hassles. The installer even said it is one of his favorites to install, because it almost always works. I remain very pleased; speeds are high, configuration was simple, and it integrated smoothly.

Summary: Nice, but it was difficult to install.
Review: Rather than continuing to rent a modem from my ISP I bit the bullet and bought this modem. I may have had more difficulty than most with the "Easy Installation". I had to spend an hour on the phone with the ISP's service department, then another 45 minutes with Linksys service after it crashed.

Every thing is working great now and I notice a definite increase in speed while on the internet.

Summary: works great
Review: I'm running WInXP on a 1.6 GHz P4. It works great, no problems whatsoever. I am considering using their wireless router/adapter soon. Way to go Linksys!

Summary: Good product; Extremely easy to setup
Review: It took me only 10 minutes to call my ISP (Comcast) and get this cablemodem provisioned. It is that simple and easy. Some people said that Amazon.com was shipping version 1 of this product but the fact is that they are now shipping V2. I got mine as the one shown on the picture. I definitely recommend this product if you do not want to keep paying $5 to your ISPs forever!

Summary: Works just fine with AT&T Broadband/Comcast, easy setup
Review: Very easy 4-step process to install. I've had a leased modem for about a year and purchased this modem to save $3/month that I was being charged to lease the modem through AT&T. Only setup issue I had was that I am using a Linksys Wireless Access point DSL/Cable router and I needed to disconnect this for my cable company to setup my new modem for some reason. After they setup the new modem I hooked it back up to my Wireless router and everything works fine again.

Summary: Modem Exchange
Review: I purchased this modem on December 23, 2002 when the modem I was using went south. This modem's small size makes it convenient to sit on top of my tower. I find the lights on this modem easier to see than the lights on my previous modem. The installation instructions were simple and easy to follow. I plan to purchase a Linksys cable firewall router in the near future. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a cable modem. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it had the ability to unpack and install itself. Yup, I find it a good product.

Summary: Solid Value
Review: I bought my Linksys Etherfast almost two years ago now. It has been solid and easy to use. I had it set up in less than five minutes and easily recovered from my ISP changes when AT&T left @Home to use their own attbi.com network. It has run without difficulty since I installed it. It certainly could use more flexibility in the firewall configuration but it does do the job. Previous firmware updates wiped out configuration on the switch, but the latest ones seem to hold the configurations just fine. If you want the extra security and ease of use this a the right switch for the price.

Summary: Simply delightful!
Review: I absolutely love Linksys products. I am a Cox Broadband customer and the set-up for this cable modem took all of five minutes. It took me longer to get it out of the box and get the cables unwrapped than it did to connect it and be back on the internet. Their customer service is great too - I had a problem with my Cable/DSL Router and Linksys immediately sent me a replacement in a matter of a few days. These are great products at great prices - I wholeheartedly recommend anything from Linksys.
