Summary: Very easy to setup
Review: I purchased the Jetdirect 200m at the same time I purchased an HP Officejet D135 Multifunction Printer for my home. I wanted to reduce the tangle of wires coming from my laptop and be free to put the fax/copier/scanner where I pleased.

I decided on this combination of hardware because of HP's reputation and my past experience with their products. It seemed logical to me to use a print server that was built specifically for the printer I intended to buy, instead of using a third-party product that may have compatibility issues. I was also unsure how a third-party print server would work with printer/fax/scanner combo.

Setup of the Jetdirect 200m was a snap. After physically setting up the printer, I plugged the Jetdirect into its slot on the back of the printer and then connected it to my router. I then used the CD-ROM supplied with the printer to install the drivers onto my laptop. As usual, the HP software walked me through every step and the printer functioned perfectly on the first try.

I have had some dubious experience with print servers before, particularly the Linksys EPSX3. Installing the Jetdirect, was barely harder than plugging in a USB or parallel cable.

So far, there have been no problems printing, faxing (both from the fax machine and from my laptop), or copying. I have not attempted to scan anything, but judging from everything else, I doubt I will encounter any problems at all.
