The Asante FriendlyNET FS4008P 8 Port 10/100 Switch is designed for small offices, home offices, or enterprise workgroups. The FS4008P's plug-and-play configuration provides for simple installation and use, while delivering fast and affordable switching in a small footprint. Featuring eight dual-speed RJ-45 ports, the Asante FS4008P gives users a 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet capability that can eliminate bottlenecks in server connections or can link 10 Mbps workgroups to a 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet backbone. For workstations, the FS4008P supports full-duplex operation on each port, effectively doubling the total throughput on individual links. Auto negotiation of 10/100 speed on every port make for a smooth integration of 10 MB and 100 MB networks. The FS4008P also comes with one 10/100 uplink port.
