Summary: Best of 3 I tried
Review: Having the ports accessible from the front, unline the other 2 that I have purchased, is majorly handy - you just don't think about it until it's too late - super nice.

Summary: No Problems So Far
Review: I've plugged two USB devices into this thing and haven't had any problems so far (digital camera, MP3 player). I wonder if the users who had power problems were using AC Adapter that came with this hub... ...this hub runs in two modes: with the AC adaptor, each port gives out DC +5V/500mA whereas WITHOUT the adaptor, the ports get 5V, but only 500mA in total (maybe that's what's causing some of the complaints). The D-Link was so cheap and so small that I thought I'd give it a try - paid off for me!

Summary: Inexpenisive and easy to install powered 4 port USB hub
Review: When the number of USB devices here exceded the number of ports on my Dell Dimension, I shopped around for a 4 port USB hub. This unit looked appealing; not only did it come with a 6 foot USB cable, it could be powered by the computer USB port or from it's own wall wart power supply. When it arrived, it was an easy and straight forward install. Plug the supplied cable into the hub, plug the hub into the computer's USB port, plug the devices into the hub, you're done. Turning the computer's power on, five LEDs lit up green. One LED for each port and one showing the hub is running from the computer's power supply. A red LED lights to show when the HUB's wall wart is supplying the power. Elegant simplicity in a translucent package, the most difficult thing to expect in setting this up is opening the blister pack to get at it.

Summary: Great for USB Expansion
Review: My computer came with two USB ports, which became a hassle since I have four USB devices. It became a pain to constantly unplug and plug in cables. The D-Link DSB USB 4 port hub has been a great buy. I can now run my web cam, visor cradle, printer, and digital camera without having to mesh with the cables. Piece of cake to install and I have not had any problems with the product.

Summary: Great little hub
Review: I'm very pleased with the D-link USB Hub. I like the small size of it. I definately like the price. I use mine for my PDA cradle, eMarker, Nomad II, and for my PC link for my minidisc player. All work fine on the hub. Stylin clear cover is a plus. Although the instructions are a little...sketchy, after a few miniutes, you get it working. And I do wish all of the connections were on one side. The main reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it could use something, like 4 peices of rubber, to make it STAY to where you place it. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Easy Link
Review: This is a very easy product to use and install. I like this product because it is inexpensive and allows you to plug in additional devices with no worry. Currently I have a scanner, printer, and an optical mouse plugged in. I read reviews of all the other USB hubs and decided on this model because of price, other customer reviews, and ease of use!

Summary: D-Link DSB-H4 seems underpowered
Review: At first I found these hubs great. Then I tried to add more USB devices and I found that several of them failed to work any more. This included a SmartMedia reader and a QPS CD-RW drive in particular. For that reason I would highly recommend buying a hub with more power if you are going to attach several USB devices to a single hub....

Summary: You won't know it's there
Review: Not a bad little device. It's inexpensive and saves the hassle of unplugging and plugging in periphials. Also, some USB devices don't function properly unless connected during start-up.
