Rating: Summary: Perfect SOHO solution Review: For handling a Netgear router, two machines and a print server, this is the best option for the price. Price aside, a totally dependable product. I expect to see a lot more Netgear equipment in my home. Oh, and the case actually looks nice, unlike 3Com and most other manufacturers' boxes.
Rating: Summary: Switch to a Switch, and skip the Hub Bub Review: I bought a ds-108 Netgear Hub it performed fine, I THOUGHT, when I looked closer it was not efficient in delivering the print jobs. The tech support from NetGear is FANTASTIC... and after talking to a few folks at Verizon, and the ISP I switched to a FS-108 switch. BIG difference. Really I can't see any reason to get a hub when you can get a switch. The cost difference is minimal but the performance difference is like comparing a candle to an electric light. Switch from the hub to a "SWITCH" Or continuing holding a candle to the electric light.

Rating: Summary: Works like a champ and extremely simple to set up Review: I got this hub in the mail, plugged in the power, plugged it in to my DSL modem, plugged by PC and laptop into it, and everything just worked! No configuration or anything (despite my DSL setup), basically no problems of any kind. Can't beat that!

Rating: Summary: BAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT Review: I have been in the IT business for many years and I have never talk to a more incompetent customer service. First their english (I was forward to support in India) was so bad that they could not take the information to provide a RMA for a return for a faulty HUB. After three calls I finally gave up and ate the cost of the HUB. There is no reason to pay this much for a product without support. My suggestion is to buy the cheapest one and throw it out when it fails.
Rating: Summary: very difficult to setup Review: I have tried to set up this hub with my home cpu and laptop and with no luck so far. I am using windows xp on both cpu's and I am getting frustrated with the whole thing, I am getting sorry I bought this hub, it shouldn't be this much trouble to set up a connection between my computers. I may take it back to the store where I bought it and find something a little easier to set up. If I do not succeed in getting help from the people who manufactured it, it is history.

I had to get belkin ethernet cat5e cable so it would work right. Everything work fawless and it was a great Hub/Router for the price.
