Review: This card is easy to install and it'll work right after you install the driver and restart your system (95, 98, 98se)...Don't fall with the [inexpensive]NIC, go with BUS MASTERING..... it'll make you happy!

Summary: This card is the best I've seen!
Review: Before using this card, I bought a Network Everywhere NC100 card (by Linksys, but it's part of their "cheaper model" line) and used it for a week and took it back. So, I got this one and installed it after about an hour, but it was not at all because of Linksys, but because I had forgot to "remove" the card's drivers before taking it out, and when I installed the new card's drivers over the last I had many problems. I fresh install of Windows 98 did it. Overall, this card is very exceptional, and improved my connection from a 1.3 Mbps connection through a USB connection with my cable modem to a 1.6 Mbps connection through ethernet. I am happy I paid the extra money for this, because it works great. I also bought a Linksys router which should arrive soon. LInksys is very reliable and I will never buy anything else. PLus, they have extensive support for new drivers so you never need to worry about the card not working properly. It is super fast, and it has some Wake-on-Lan option that lets you turn your computer on from anywhere on the network. I never use it, but this thing rocks.

Summary: ??? No Macs ???? too Bad, Products are good ...
Review: The Linksys products I've purchased in the past are good, and even the compnay policy / warrenty ( spelling ??? ) is strong. I know, folk's may say, " Well, this guy's got Macs, too bad for him." We are all entitled to our own humble opinion ...

But, No Drivers are available for the Mac Product line. No OS X.
No 9.x's . No 8.x's.

I realize that the only people who get the decission to buy the Macs are not the "accounting" dept. or DP ... Just us small business owners with 10 - 20 networked computers ... But, this isn't about Macs vs. Win boxes; it's about missed opportunity by Linksys to support a customer base. I mean, really, without the hardcore out there, would there even be any support for Lynix?

Summary: unreliable
Review: Linksys shipped several very different versions under the same name: LNE100TX. The version 2.0 was good (with 4 indicators), versions 4.0 and 4.1 (with 2 indicators) are unreliable. One v4.0 card of mine has a problem with throughput, which drops down to 100KB/s under stress.

Summary: Easy of installation on multiple os's at a good price
Review: This particular linksys card is a total breeze to install on *BSD, Linux and Windows boxes. Considering the price, its a good deal for a 10/100 FD card. Performance is not the greatest, but for a small home network, I'd say its hard to beat the price for what you get.

Summary: Never had a problem have had it...
Review: I have had the LNE100TX card for the past 2 years... Since version 4. Since Windows ME, and never has it let me down... It's inexpensive compared to 3com... It serves my Cable modem needs well...

This is a must buy product.

Summary: Good for a Home LAN
Review: If you're just trying to network a couple of computers together, this is a fine card. If you're doing any heavier-duty networking, though, get something a little more robust.
